We were definitely balls deep in that trade period. Doesn't leave much in the cupboard for next year losing 2 x 2nd rounders & our 1st but looks like we were aggressive enough this year and hopefully some of these boys can make it along with Rantall, Bianco & Ruscoe Pico. Also add Daicos and hopefully this young group builds into something very nice.

Really happy with tonight. Picked the best available with the first couple picks, Reef bid came later than expected, got a slider, a key forward and a raw smokey late. Guy is lucky that he has Hine on his side to save him.

Pretty sure we now have 36 seniors thanks to the draft tonight, along with 2 Cat As (Noble and Keane) and 2 Cat Bs (Tohill and Wilson). We can still take 4 more Cat As to make it 44 players on the list, which is the maximum.

Sorry you you're correct - I was mistakenly thinking max list sizes were 42 down from 44, instead of 44 down from 46.

With 4 rookie spots left potentially we might take one or two rookies in the draft tomorrow as you said, but it's obviously not a definite at this stage.

Went back and had a look through our trades and could only find one future second traded to Hawthorn. So we should still have 1 x 2021 second round selections and about 3 x 2021 third round selections (ours plus the two we traded in).

Overall this draft seems quite good.
Hopefully replaced our midfield loses, and added competition as well.
Hope there are some very nervous senior players tonight, who see they have too substantially lift their game

I’d assume he’s talking about Henry, Macrae, Reef & Poulter, which I think is fair.

Most people had these players in the top 20-25.

Yeah I do agree.

Very happy. The one guy I am most regretful about is Conor Stone in the pick before our 1st, but not much we could do about that.
