how does that work
Similar to Sydney Stack at Tigers, can come train with us and we can sign before the season starts. We have two list spots to potentially fill, I believe?

Please let us have Callow or Baldwin train with us for a supplemental pick........

I think given the question marks over Baldwin, Callow and Kolar that is exactly why they haven't been drafted and perhaps why they might get a chance to train at an AFL club over the pre-season.

I'm not as high as most on how our night has played out.
Gambled away our 2021 first.
Drafted one key forward who was a bit of a surprise at the selection, with Daicos next year its unlikely we will draft a highly rated one in 2021 so again our stocks will be paper thin for foreseeable future unless we pull off a trade/FA signing.
Henry seems to be the type of player that usually goes around 30, just my view could easily be misjudging his talent I will admit.
I liked the Macrae pick.
Least we got 3 first rounders in.

Henry was rated top 10 pretty much everywhere. He's a great selection.

Personally I think he is just too short at AFL level to play the way he does.

He plays in a similar way to Hawkins but is 4cms shorter.
In other words he’s Mihocek but 2cm taller?

Next year, we'll miss Treloar, unless Sier comes good. No kid is going to come in and give close to what Treloar gave. With no having a fair swag of young mids, hopefully one comes through pretty quickly though.

Sidebottom also returns . Sier was coming good and got injured. Tyler Brown is another who might be ready to take the next step.

We lacked numbers in the youth department, and now we don’t. The odds of one of them advancing quickly has therefore improved, just on sheer numbers compared to last year.

Finally Treloar wasn’t especially damaging last year despite his high output. Wishful thinking perhaps but I suspect we might find we wont suffer from Treloars absence.

Coming into the night my hope for Collingwood was either we trade up, secure a Cox or Reid, acquire Reef and still retain another live 1st round selection or we escape having to match a bid for Reef, trade out our future 1st and leave with 4 selections inside the top 25.

We basically achieved the second result with only our calculated gamble to trade down and still get the player we wanted at 30 instead of the pick 24 we originally possessed skewing the numbers.

I'm very happy though I will admit if we didn't land one of Poulter or Cook then I don't feel the trading of our future 1st would have been worthwhile.

As it is though it went to plan and we got the player I wanted the most at that stage of the draft.

I wonder if Rantall might help offset a chunk of Treloar's sloppy-skilled oomph.

Looking to turn Isaac Chugg into a small forward maybe?

He looked really good as a defender off half-back. A bit lost as a wing (in terms of ball-winning) but he reads the ball well in flight, so I reckon half-back is a good way forward. Could play forward maybe, like his backline work most (perhaps others moving into the midfield?) but he's a long-term prospect.
