On the positive side for Hawthorn, the players are likely to enjoy many photo opportunities with well known Victorians Josh Freydenburg and Greg Hunt. They both seem like top upstanding blocks. Not flogs at all. That's sure to make them very popular and improve their chances with the ladies.
Sydney: .
According to Sydney the Academy system needs to change. Apparently the system just isn't weighted heavily enough in their favour. Sydney want to get a free selection every time one their players gets picked by another club. So that way if they secretly know that the player they've been watching is injury prone or lazy and unlikely to make it that isn't obvious to everyone else who doesn't have this player already training with their team, eating their food and working with their coaches, then they just pass on him and get a free selection of every other available player with the next pick. GWS and Brisbane are big fans of this apparently. The AFL is considering it. Meanwhile potential AFL juniors are moving out of our Northern suburb catchment because the Northern Knights suck. Carlton is working hard to correct this imbalance by hosting a father son training session once every year. Go Blues!
West Coast: B
Can you hear the sniffling? That's the sound of Bigfooty Blues supporters reaching out, sadly and desperately, towards what could have been. Why did we not get Winder? Please come back we need you...
Western Bulldogs: A
This system is awesome isn't it? Four years ago they win the flag and now they have the first pick. Not because they suck. Not because their players have super genes. Because the number 1 pick was born in their zone. What a disgrace! Who ever heard of a club enjoying long term success because they happen to have a good zone? I know my club would have never done something like that in the past. What an outrage! And why is The Blueseum having a heart attack?
I hope you all enjoyed my rankings. I took them very seriously and I know the futures of every club will be solely determined by these draft ratings.
But not replacing them with like for like is indeed stating indeed that a better balance was the intention .
Give it up the club is taking a wrecking ball to your narrative .
Perhaps those types/best available weren't available at our picks?
The majority of the last 10 flag winners, value talls, while we now have the thinnest list in that area
Love how people like you occasionally jump on board with what the club does when it suits your opinion
What happens if we take another tall before the start of the season, will you change your opinion?

Funny thing is Az ... 2 seasons ago a lot of posters here were bemoaning how tall we were lol!
Considering theyve stated that we may be a tall short that may well happen but clearly your too stubborn too admit that its not a pressing need for them right now over balancing the list .Perhaps those types/best available weren't available at our picks?

Which has been clearly achieved .
I see youve stretched it out to the last 10 flag winners rather than 4 of the last 5 winners which have emphasised the ground ball over aerial .
Unless the league drastically cut interchange rotations the days of aerial dominance are over its all about the ground ball .
Interestingly but when I looked at 2020 lists for us and Richmond we had three more (19 V 16) 190cm+ players, so seems we have quite a few in that 190-195cm range.Okay, let's look at it this way
We have 6 players on our list that are 195+, 2 of which are 30+ start of next year
WC in 2018 had 10, 1 at 30+ who was Kennedy
Tiger 2019 had 9, 1 at 30+ who was Riewoldt
Tigers 2020 had 10, 1 at 30+ who was Riewoldt and strangely enough took another 200+ player this year without losing one
What would you say now...
I would say if it rains they're all in trouble............................Okay, let's look at it this way

Fine by me we have superb talls in our best 22 that will be the backbone of our side for the next 10 years and with flexibilty .Okay, let's look at it this way

As the clubs performances get better our ability to attract a quality tall or 2 when needed most likely wont be an issue .
Topping up with needs players is a trait top sides are able to achieve you know destination club en all .
Again give it up we did not draft a tall in the main draft this year nor trade in a tall no free agent tall .
This is not me speaking its the club with its actions whether you like it or not .![]()

Yes the best 45 seconds of 15 games should look good.. but his story reads well also .. let's hope all ends up in smilesNot a bad little highlights package that one. Reads the ball well and is a good intercept mark.
Haha not available at our picks nice deflection .Of course the club wouldn't reach for a tall if they weren't available at our picks
It's not me speaking that flag winning sides rate and acquire talls, they just get it![]()
Haha not available at our picks nice deflection .
Think i'll agree to disagree and side with the club on this one theyve finally got it right .

stupid d word.......After a big night the port tipped me over the edge at around 11 I’m hoping Carlton focusses on the 3 DDDs
Development Development Development
Mould all our young men into afl ready beauties
Ive answered your questions move on agree to disagree .Where is the deflection? Have always stated you take best available in the draft, so I will back those selections in
But we didn't address all of out needs via the trade period, no matter what you prefer
There is a difference here, your opinion versus historical facts when it comes to talls and the correlation to flag winning sides
Can we buck the trend? Sure anything is possible, but I will stick with winning formulas
derrrrrrrr ?stupid d word.......
