Living in Italy we’ve known many people who’ve contracted the virus, including my partner.

We believe it most likely came from the mother in law. She had a fever for 10 days. My partner had mild symptoms, a headache and some back pains for a couple of days. Myself and the kids never had symptoms and we never had a positive test.

We remained inside for 21 days. Then, by the rules here we could go out with or without a negative result as by then we’re no longer contagious.

An interesting point here is that those who’ve given positive tests here are considered already vaccinated.

Anyway, I’m over it. I say open everything up and let the chips fall where they may.

Bad to hear about your mil and partner but honestly from what you've posted sounds like a bad flu. Also sounds like your mil only passed it to 1 person in your family. Hardly a super spreader eventDid you know anyone with a serious dose?
Your point about vaccine is spot on. If the virus has99% survival we could achieve herd immunity. Yet apparently that's too dangerous and won't work so we need a rushed vaccine instead. What do people think vaccines do?

That's really interesting. All the people I know who have relies in Italy did not know anyone with it. Are you in the northern part where most of the cases were? Did the people you know who had it have it during the first outbreak or just recently? Would you say it was any different to annual flu or colds in terms of symptoms and severity?

Not doubting you at all, just genuinely interested to find out more from people who have had it or know someone who had it. Hope things return to normal soon over there for you.

You can not resist attacking the messenger and although you pretend to want to look at both sides of the information you're are just as much of a troll as the others. And still not one of you has any empirical evidence to support what you say!

Now a bona-fide conspiracy theorist would view the whole thing in a different light. The vaccines, as has been established, is optional. So any deleterious effects are still informed by choice. The REAL conspiracy here is the extermination of an entire demographic that are the single biggest recipients of public resources and drain on the public purse. And what better way to address a ballooning public debt than by eradicating the very source of that public debt- the elderly. But alas, it’s the elephant in the room and more importantly has no tangible impact on the anti-vaccine brigade, and is thus consigned to irrelevance. Governments around the world must be saving trillions in their health care budgets with all these premature deaths and nobody dares say a word.

It wasn't a point, it's the Italian Government's policy to consider those who've given a positive test as vaccinated.

We're in Florence, so central but on the northern part of the centre.

We knew one elderly couple who had it in the first outbreak. They were both in ICU, with the lady spending quite some time there. Fortunately all good now. I know another handful of people that have had it without problem.

Secondly, from our last discussion, the only thing that's been established is Scott Morrison saying vaccinations will be as mandatory as you can get, and McGowan quoted as saying no overseas travel or school without one.

Thirdly the publicity of Corona, with the Royal Commission highlighting some private aged care in some states inadequately looking after their residents, has forced the Federal Gov't to add billions to the aged care budget. But your main conspiracy that there will be sneaky savings by eradicating the elderly is not based on fact.

Even though COVID has shown to affect vulnerable over 80s, with co-morbidities living in aged care there is absolutely no evidence to show more of them died with COVID this year, that flu and pneumonia in the past. In Australia probably many less have died.

The evidence from the US (Johns Hopkins analyses) where positive tests of COBID are in the hundreds of thousands, is same numbers of elderly have died from COVID this year compared with respiratory/ flu / pneumonia in previous years.

From numbers available from ABS, in 2017 there were 1,255 deaths due to influenza and influenza and pneumonia accounted for 4,269 deaths. In 2019 there were just over 900 influenza deaths and 4124 grouped together with pneumonia.

An individual dying from influenza in 2017 was most likely to be female, aged over 75 years, have multiple co-morbidities and living in the eastern states of Australia and the average age of death from flu and pneumonia in 2019 was 88.8 years.

Influenza and pneumonia deaths are counted individually but often reported together, however although spread in the same way, they are two different diseases. While influenza is a viral respiratory tract infection (and strains are specifically tested for), pneumonia is an infection or inflammation of the lungs which can be caused by bacteria, fungi or a virus.

The difference this year, is the WHO has ordered that if pneumonia is present at death of a patient that either has a COVID positive test or has symptoms of COVID, then the recorded cause of death is to be COVID - 19.

So Australia's total death toll from COVID 19 is 908, which is around the same as flu deaths from 2019 and much less than 1,255 deaths from flu in 2017. By definition the 2020 COVID death number will include deaths from pneumonia, although not all.

Then the total deaths so far in 2020 from flu is 40, added to COVID 948 deaths. Hardly more than 902 influenza deaths last year, and when individual pneumonia numbers are known for 2020 and reported, most likely far less than the combined 4124 flu and pneumonia deaths in 2019 and 4269 flu and pneumonia deaths in 2017.

Possibly 4 times less older, vulnerable people dying this year than last. So I have to debunk your conspiracy theory, although vaccines administered to the over 80s could increase those death numbers.

A real conspiracy is the stated goal of some Globalists and written on the strange Georgia Guide stones, an aim to reduce the world population numbers by around 7.2 billion to 500,000,000 which they claim is sustainable balance on Earth. Just a co-incidence Gates stated aim to vaccinate 7 billion with his new mRNA vaccine.
