When I was a very green/young student teacher I was teaching medieval history to a year 8 class. One of the classes was about the lords and peasants and one of the questions I set out for the class was what type of jobs did the peasants have to do on the land.

Walked over to a table of girls as they were being loud so I asked them to focus on the question and they couldn't think of any (hadn't paid enough attention). Until one pipes up saying I don't know what jobs they did but I can think of 2 fun jobs in particular that involves a head and a hand. They all start giggling.

Was so shocked by it. Just told them that that's inappropriate and not funny and walked off. Told the mentor teacher and she laughed and said not surprising. Those girls are trouble.

I couldn't believe it. Year 8 ffs.

I was lucky that the 5/6 class I had for my first prac was a generally speaking really nice class. They knew I was being evaluated after every lesson so many of them would tell their normal teacher (their normal teacher) what a good job I was doing.

Worst experience I had as a casual teacher was not the classes where I got told to * off or kids started brawling (not uncommon in Western Sydney) but a class where two year 4 boys were sexually harassing a girl in their class. They would make comments about wanting to see her naked, and they would give her a roll they found and underlined and highlighted the word "sex".

I immediately took them both to the head stage 2 teacher. I was shocked as these boys were 9 or 10 years old.

I don't envy you with years 8 and 9 though. I have spoken to High School teachers and apparently years 8 and 9 are always the worst. It isn't until year 10 that they begin to calm down.

I am generally pretty open minded when it comes to other peoples fetishes. I mean I may not share them but they don't bother me or anything. Feet though, that just creeps me out. I think people with foot fetishes should be put on some sort of list so the rest of us know to avoid them.
