We have JV'd with Kenmore to give excess Colts kids a game, we will have excess 2nds/3rds and ideally we send them to Jindalee etc, but some blokes just want to stay at their own club, or in other cases they are 35 years old with kids in our juniors who want to give it a go and Div 3 standard has risen so much its no longer a competition for blokes new to the game, thats what Div4 (or div2 reserves if they can play Saturday) is for.

Sounds like we would have been knocked back, all that means is 20-30 less blokes playing footy, not sure thats the best outcome?

then there is the purely selfish side of me. I'm hanging on by a thread to get a game in our Div 3 side, and I need somewhere to play!

Be interesting now with staff at HQ being reduced. Clubs need to submit the payments but it is really a bit of an honesty system. If it’s reported by enough other clubs that a certain club has secured a few players on certain $$ then AFLQ investigate. Tbh I wouldn’t want to fall foul of it bc the penalties are severe both club wise, and for the responsible administrators.

If the said rewards are sustainable and don’t effect the financial stability of a club and no cap breaches who cares. As has been the case in divisions above many a deal has been beneficial to both parties without the club parting with huge coin. Job opportunities and opening of doors is better long term benefits than Saturday night bar tab.

When will the fixture be released?

I’m hoping this season gets more then 8 games.

this covid stuff is still lurching. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect any footy

Hinterland recruiting very well from o hear on the back of a pretty good COVID year.Personally reckon it is great from a sunny coast point of view.When I first moved up here Nambour(aka hinterland) were very competitive and were able to attract some quality interstate footballers on top of some good locals.Best of luck to them!

they lost some quality to injury and back to Caloundra. Did that young mad angry Ruck stay? Or did he go back to Caloundra? Good player. Angry ant which is great to see in a ruck.
They’re in a good spot to benefit from Noosa and Maroochydore being in the QAFL.
They can target those blokes who don’t want that level of commitment and don’t necessarily want to play for Caloundra either.
Alex Hills I think are MBs biggest threat. Only a kick off the big dance last year and won the 2s,and roll out with the least amount of points in the comp. Tells me they’re a good footy club with a bunch of blokes that have played a lot of footy together.

should be a good year. The draw makes things interesting as does it being a top 8. with 3 double ups, you possibly only need to win 4 games with good % or 5 games to make the finals.
Will be interesting to see if they go via location or finishing position.

Malone has gone to Mt Gravatt. That puts a big dent in the works.
