Might leave for less if he can't get a game.
You do realise that since he's under contract, he has to be paid the sum of that contract even if switching clubs?

I assumed he was allowed to renegotiate a cheaper contract.

He is wasting his prime by not being able to get a game.

If he stays, that'd be good too cause caddy is a quality player / option to have for the tigers.

Not many top 10 in Coleman medalist caliber players in the reserves

Yes, but over a longer term deal.

I have no idea about the money he's on but if he's on 500k in 2022, the club can offer another 500k over the following two years and pay him the 1 mill in any way they want.

But either richmond or the new club have to pay the $ in the current contract and i doubt that any club will pay that much.

Like I said I assumed he was allowed to take less. With a new team if they agreed. But am probably wrong.

Chances are caddy breaks back in due to injury. Form. Of others. Wouldn't be surprising as the tigers have often looked better with Josh in the ones

Frosty currently on 3, hawthorn might flick him off at some stage during their rebuild and will get a gig at a top 4 team as Kpd depth. Would be the best ever 4 team player.

Don't mind Jared Polec's chances. Could either be a final pay day at GC/GWS or depth for a contender.

The going has been tough at Essendon for 5993 days. Saad was just smart enough to get out. Joe the same. Merrett coming to his senses. Gee that must hurt.

I make a valid point and it seriously touches a nerve with you lot.

Every. Single. Time

In a couple of years - potentially Josh Bruce. Especially once JUH develops.

He will be 31 years old when he’s contract is up with us he will likely retire
If he serves his whole contract with us. Player contracts aren't what they used to be.

When isn't the going tough at Essendon?

Saad also isn't the only one jumping off that sinking ship.

My reply was to your pot shot when I suggested Adam Saad will jump ship.

You once again turnt it into a pot shot at Essendon. Once again.

Geelong will pick him up, they'll need some youth by then.

Saad arrived when the going was tough and left when the going was tough. 5994 days of stagnant tough going.

Eh Saad only played his first game for Essendon in 2018. He might not of won a final, but his first two seasons were at least decent with 24 wins. If he was at Carlton he would of won only 9 games in the same period.
He jumped ship after only one bad season, but we finished only half a game behind Carlton. Saad has walked out on two clubs now, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he did it again tbh.
