Don't know what's happened since round one but since then we've had no grunt, no skill and our first option appears to be to go backwards not forwards. Going backwards is ok if you retain possession, but if our current skills it invariably ends in a turnover. Coaching? Skills? I don't know.

Played three good sides

We lack the composure of the top sides, hope we get Richmond or Geelong next week to show that while we're not a top side, we're hardly cellar dwellers.

We haven’t had much luck with the draw so far, but today’s effort was pretty poor. Outplayed and out coached. We need an easy kill to get back some confidence. Knowing the AFL though we’ll probably get Adelaide next week.

GC, WC and Geelong in the next 4 weeks (with Collingwood), so a chance for a couple of wins. Another high draft pick might be best. Hopefully Vesely is back soon, we need some size in there.

Thought I heard the commentator say today that we may not see her this season...?
Must have been a hamstring tendon?

With the lockdown, they are changing the fixture to essential a Vic conference and a Non-Vic conference for the next few weeks so it could be a few more weeks before we get to play another lower side.

Not playing a true ruckman really cost us.

31 clearances (club high) to 17 for us. Our mids were on the back foot all day.
Yeah particularly that 2nd qtr. When Rhi went in there in the 3rd qtr we looked ok.
Ali Brown is really a 2nd ruck at best. Probably should have switched her on to Harris and got Watt in the ruck earlier

fingers crossed we get Geelong for some confidence.

We've played three sides who will play finals. 1-2 from those.

Still got plenty to be optimistic about and a lot of weaker teams left for us to play. Namely Geelong, Richmond, West Coast and Gold Coast.

I reckon we will be fighting with about 4 clubs for one of the last few spots in the top 6 by seasons end.

Was a little disappointed but seriously Carlton are a class act & coached very smartly. The way they played yesterday few teams would have got near them, there girls just knew if they shot out a handpass they would have someone in the vicinity. We are still a fledgling club who have shown a bit over the last couple of seasons, our time will come & it’s probably not to far away. Have faith.

We are probably a few years away from contending for a spot. The gap between the first set of teams and the 5/6 expansion clubs (North the exception here) is very noticeable.

You can lock Melbourne, North, Freo, Adelaide and Collingwood into 5 of the 6 spots, with Carlton and Brisbane the main contenders for the final one.
