I pretty much agree with you on the standard of AFLW. I think it's pretty poor.
So do you know what I do about it? I don't watch it, I don't read about it, I don't constantly post about it. Maybe you could try that sometime.
I'm tagged in this thread and I just help myself. I don't watch it or read about, but it's still gets an undeserved run on all the news networks so it's unavoidable.
I hate it because it is just so undeserved, because it has the corrupt shitbag organisation that is the AFL pushing it down our necks and the complicit media playing along, It is beyond s**t teir.

The Dees/Norf game makes it tricky to see who exactly the contenders and pretenders are. Before this weekend I would have thought Docks (who haven't lost in their last 10 games now)/Norf/Cows, but now it's getting harder to ignore Melbourne and Collingwood.
Brisbane sit undefeated too but haven't played anyone of note yet.
Why stress? As every season once the men's is up and running it'll be lucky to make page 14 of the sports section of any paper (or the front page of any website). The only annoyance is Port doesn't have the paid for advertising/funds for upgrades/etc. of a women's team, that benefits the club as a whole, that almost every other club does.

Any football broadcast to a 'professional' level is like any port in a storm. AFLW is that port and summer is the storm. Being better than nothing doesn't mean good. I'd rather have a s**t beer than no beer. West End still wets the tongue after all.
Sure I could watch the NEAFL on NITV but I'd get a better quality breaking the old VHS tapes of Broken Hill grand finals from the 90s.

It seems so simple doesn't it.
The AFL does a lot of really horrendous corrupt and self serving s**t, but supporting women's sport is not that at all. Do these people not have daughters or neices who they can now dream about winning a flag for Port one day? Complaining about the standard of a fledgling league where most players probably didn't grow up playing footy extensively is dumb. It'll get better because girls will watch this and then go and join their local club.
Until we get a team, I don't have much interest, but i'll be very interested when Port are playing.
