Depth is a key component to this question being answered, If either Lynch or Nank get injured this Friday we're in serious trouble R1.
Correct, big factor.

Grimes as good as he is, if he missed a month Im still more than comfortable going in with Balta, Astbury, Vlastuin, Broad, Short and Baker as the back 6 and back them in.

Lynch and Nank? Nothing good comes if they miss. They are 2 and 3 for mine if we assume the OP's premise.

I actually think chol would do ok as the ruck.

Ryan now an option. Culina and Soldo available sometime too.

CCJ suspension over soon.

Then you have the long shots like biggie. Miller who maybe can make a contest and then show something around the ground?

Ruck seems reasonable to me. List management seemed to do a decent job reinforcing it off season

A lot of our ball movement revolves around Shane Edwards.

In order of importance to the team:

Dusty - obvs
Cotch - sets the tone
Lynch - hardest match up
Grimes - the General of the defence
Jack (R that is) - just a constant headache for ops
Shedda - so creative
Short - defence becomes attack
Prestia - all class
Astbury - takes the gorillas and shuts them down
Houli & Baker - defensive running power
Balta - see Astbury
Vlaus - critical intercept player
Nank - tough xtra midfielder and drop back marks
Rioli & Castagna - successful forward pressure
Shai - further injection of class
Broad - defensive balance/shut down jobs
Macca and Marlion - forward drive/defensive cover
Lambo & Graham - pressure mid/fwds

This is a bloody good team with most if not all bases covered.

Very good effort.

Maybe vlastuin a little stiff.

Even bolton given the best and fairest results

Probably a pack of flogs anyways

Which is what they's say about Lynch.
Supremely talented and an obvious key, but a bit of a flog in the Matthew Lloyd mold.
The others they rate very highly are Vlastuin, Bolton, Nankervis and plenty of love for Houli.
Many view Richmond - outside of Dusty - as greater than the sum of its parts.

I was wondering more a football analysis not so much a character summary.

Feel free to ask them when they get the thumps out of the ass.

Supremely talented is a nice start.

Its Noah Balta or go forth.

The protocol is the next most important player after Dusty, who would be second picked after Dusty.
My top picks would be Grimes, Lynch, Riewoldt, Edwards , Cotchin and Short at the moment but I haven't thought about it for long.

I dispute your initial assumption.

Cotchin is the most important. We have a very 'team first' game plan, and his leadership clearly inspires the players to follow it.

When I think of players that have turned finals games for us it goes:
1. Dusty
2. Cotchin

But our other players are bloody important and it's great that there's so many players that could be number 2. Very good team spread with a lot of contingencies in case one of our core players do become unavailable.

Lunch kicked 5 in a 3 goal win 19 prelim

I've said it before, I'll say it again.
