So did anyone notice that from last Friday, the TAB odds are absolutely bonkers in regards to stakes being took from the Fixed odds board
A few races this week are running with two 1.90 favorites and a few under 10s in the same race as well as 5 horses 1.50 or under for the place. Look at the daily trots odds as the best example as it normally has lower pool prizes, lower numbers and shorter favorites. Stands out like dogs balls there

So if the Biv and Squib don't run there will be most likely only 5kgs between topweight and bottom weight in the Newmarket - geez our handicapping is absolutely cast these days.

Would they not reset the weight scale if that were to occur? Do they not have a minimum top weight in G1s?

They do but all the weights get lifted by the same amount to get there. So Zoutori would become 57kg on a 52kg minimum
Oh so they don’t stretch them apart any further, just everyone goes up Xkg
Yep, A is still only rated xx kgs better than B so they all get raised the same amount

You'd have to be mad not to have something on DAME GISELLE at the opening 4.60 in the Surround - course and distance specialist with the fitness run under her belt and should race in a much more prominent position this time around. Expect she jumps $3.50 or even shorter.

Yeah i agree. She goes way better 2nd up than 1st up even if she won last time 1st up. As you would say though, if she loses this shes gone at the game!

Was on JP first up and thought he was pretty disappointing. Amish Boy (who I don't rate) came with the same run as him and finished well ahead of him. Would be a solid form turnaround if he got up here for mine. Just think he is not as good as some thought.
