He is an awful employer, has made numerous troubling statements about his vision for the Mars colony, has made clear he will subvert democracy in nations in order to expand his own wealth, and offers no real solutions for the climate catastrophe we're facing.

That's before we get to the fact that he's just a colossal a-hole, as documented in other posts here.

Thing is Americans are bloody weird when it comes to tax, I mean we have struggled to get a carbon tax here, what chance for them over there?

I like the idea myself of a carbon tax but I know the republicans would have an epileptic fit (as well as a lot of the dems business buddies).

Also what do you think of many republicans complaining about windmills causing power problems in Texas (or blaming the new green deal, which hasn’t even begun yet).

Elons entire wealth is due to electric vehicles and batteries which benefit greatly from carbon taxes or even better, bans on new ICE sales as in the UK. Spacex is a little side project. Elon is just lobbying to get ICE bans.
