Interesting observing the rule in this game. Both sides are being obedient on the mark, but Richmond are far more practised at the kicker taking advantage of it. Collingwood just seem to be playing like last year.

He is a better half back than Laird; or
He can transition to the midfield

and I'll bet he will be on way, way more $ than Laird (and no I am not privy to player contracts)

Yet posters complain about signing Laird on 5? Great move. I'm behind it

Agree Williams can play however his proven position is HB, not midfield

Williams has moved to Carlton on Elite Midfielder dollars and this year will need to demonstrate elite midfield production to pay Carlton back for their salary cap investment

It's a massive roll of the dice by Carlton
