Did you forget your anti-cranky pills today, or are you trying to outSpackler, Spackler?

I’m in Day 6 of chemo, and I’ve spent the day listening to Rage Against The Machine

the pills, they do nothing!

Yep I agree. They know that there will be some pain to come but are prepared to lock in and stay. ROB is a good signing. I also think that Strachan has upped his game a bit over the off season so might end up being a capable back up if needed and there is the break glass of Frampton / Himmelberg as a short term. - Not all doom and gloom
I watched the SANFL trial against Norwood - Strachan was good. He could come in and do a role if required. He won't immediately be the best ruckman in the AFL, but he wouldn't be the worst either.

Shhhhhh, you're ruining the narrative that Rob is NOT an Elite Ruckman, despite the fact a Ruckmans duties, much like footy in general, is changing. He is a modern Ruckman with many Elite attributes and definitely Top 3 in the AFL at the moment. Stats don't lie!

The only facet of ROBs game I don’t rate is his work at centre bounces. His ruck work around the ground and at Boundary Throw ins is pretty good when he can use body positioning and strength to win hitouts. He constantly gets leapt over by players like NicNat and Ryder at the Centre Bounces as he can’t engage first and has next to no vertical leap. Our Midfielders can’t be proactive at Centre Bounces due to this.

Really didn't think this would turn negative.

One of the better ruckman in the league who always gives 100%. That's all you need from a ruck.

He still looks like every time is the first time he's kicked a football. Usually doesn't end up too bad though.

Hasn't Sam Baulderstone retired who was a half decent Ruckman? Who was rucking for Norwood?

Below are the top 10 ruckmen in the AFL based on Champion Data’s rankings:

  1. Max Gawn (Melbourne)
  2. Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne)
  3. Nic Naitanui (West Coast)
  4. Paddy Ryder (St Kilda)
  5. Jarrod Witts (Gold Coast)
  6. Scott Lycett (Port Adelaide)
  7. Marc Pittonet (Carlton)
  8. Riley O’Brien (Adelaide)
  9. Brodie Grundy (Collingwood)
  10. Rowan Marshall (St Kilda)

Grundy rated at 9....OMFG. Ryder at 4.....Wow. This list is crap.

Good news, he might not ever reach that elite status, but would comfortably sit in the top 10 rucks in the comp. Will be the first picked every week and if he stays fit, means we wont need to worry about the first ruck position for the next 5 years at least.

Now we just need to add a project ruckman in the draft this year and to develop along under ROB, they generally take a good 4-5 years to reach the point where they can come in to the side and take over so timing wise works well.

Stephan Knoll ex Sydney Swan now.
Ex Panthers ruck Michael Knoll, so that's where he ended up. More brown paper bags floating around the Parade? ;)

Or are Aldi recyclable bags the go now down the Parade?
