Any idea why the vfl team is not wearing a Collingwood guernsey?
Surely if talking about brand identity this does not resemble us remotely?

Also drawing further away from our proper home guernsey of white background with black stripes.

I’d guess the VFL jumpers haven’t arrived yet.

Alternate stripes to increase sales...could also be that the VFL boys are trying to distance themselves from the rubbish the AFL team is putting out...

Lachie is locked in.
Collingwood VFL coach Craig Black has called up another of his 2018 Dandenong Stingrays premiership players, Lachie McDonnell, to play for the Magpies.

The classy right-footer is the latest Noble Park player to link with a VFL team.

North Dandenong lad McDonnell attended the AFL draft state combine and was linked with a number of clubs, including Carlton, after featuring in the Stingrays’ breakthrough flag.

He kicked two goals and had 16 possessions in the grand final against Oakleigh Chargers at Carlton.

Overlooked at the drafts, he wrote a diary about his last year of under-age football and his AFL aspirations.

McDonnell made his VFL debut for Frankston in 2019 and hooked up with Sandringham last year for what the shortened VFL season that never went ahead.

Pacy and a good user of the ball, he joins three other former Stingrays – his premiership captain Campbell Hustwaite, Sam Fowler and William Geurts – as VFL Magpies.
