Breaks my heart to see Rowelly go down with another injury 
but the upside is at least he will be back in 10-12 weeks. Very lucky that it is not more serious and him being out for the rest of the season. He’s a tough and determined kid and has a heart of gold! He will get through this.

10 weeks was my prediction. So it’s worse than I thought. What a cursed club we are.

Matt Rowell Injury Update
The Gold Coast SUNS can confirm that Matt Rowell is set to miss an extended period of time as he recovers from a knee injury.

12 weeks seems about right, take all the time we need with him. He is only 20 and has a massive future. Gives the boys the chance to learn to be a good midfield without him, when he is back we become a great midfield
I hope he will be able to return to the Matt Rowell it 2020 when he returns! Hopefully the injuries don’t dint this!
We have a history of being very causous with injuries and this will be no different

Which is the correct thing to do with a young player.
There is no point rushing him back. Do it right and ensure he is fully fit and recovered. If he isn’t number 1. He won’t play his best number 2. He is a bigger risk of being reinjured
short term pain for long term gain!

Is there any long term speed or power loss from this type of injury?
What are with all the knee injuries on the Coast?!Normally harder ground but think all the rain would have fixed that

Just needs match fitness now, maybe 1-2 away. Thats if he's best 22

Meniscus is not the worst injury for Sam in the world. However, awful news about Buda's though, hopefully he takes it in his stride and is back better than ever next year.
