There was a real problem with the amateur videos being posted to Pornhub. I think we could all agree on a reasonable set of criteria for amateurs posting sex videos on the internet, such as:
- the participants must be adults (aged 18+)
- the acts must be consensual
- the recording must be consensual
- the publication of the recording must be consensual.

There we far too many complaints that violated one or more of those criteria, like secret recordings, or ex-partners posting old videos made in happier times as revenge, or rape videos, or rape videos of underage people posted to share with the world and further humiliate the victim as if just being raped was not bad enough on its own. PornHub were too slow to act and take down videos following complaints - until it became a political issue and they were threatened with legislation and regulation, then suddenly they took it seriously. There is an obligation on those who host such sites to make sure the material posted by amateurs meets these criteria. It is no good just shrugging your shoulders and blaming it on users breaching the conditions of use. The conditions of use need to be enforced and checked a bit a bit more rigour than that.

Unfortunately as you get older you realize that there is someone for everyone and that extends to pr0n, what you might find off putting/degrading others enjoy and get off on it. Personally I find that things like cuckold, bondage, gang bangs and countless other acts very strange to fathom.

Bit hard, don't think people are open about weird stuff they get up to but I do see your point. I think though as a society we have draw the line somewhere. Anything that associates 'children' as fair game should not be allowed. Plenty of other categories they can pursue.

Yeah, it's a classic 'slippery slope' argument. I mean, I think for the most part all the pornography you can watch really is just acting scenarios between consenting adults pretending to be step-siblings just the same as most porno pool cleaners aren't really pool cleaners and porno nurses really aren't that either.

If I were a parent I'd like to think I'd sit down and watch some pr0n with my kids which would be excruciating for all involved but it would be a chance to explain that what they see here is not what their experience is likely to be. I'd argue that it would be almost impossible in this day and age to stop your kids seeing pr0n, best to tackle it head on to give them realistic expectations.

Can pr0n be detoxed? pr0n stars are people too, yet their well-being is often overlooked, which is typical of sex workers in general not being valued.

I would hazard to guess that most men like to live vicariously through the male actor. Makes sense that you often don't see their faces or hear much from them. Would kind of ruin the fantasy to have a dude grunting loudly and moaning to squeeze tighter.

Not sure if it's really to validate the male actor as it is the male viewer. Which makes sense as no one is going to fantasize about being a s**t root.
