If Freo's known for lowering the bar I doubt it's a one in twenty year performance. Better teams have done worse. (Looking at you Port last night.)

Not sure of the final stats but there was 11 Dockers at half time without a single tackle. That has nothing to do with injuries.

Don't know what they were thinking with their recruiting or what happens in the off season.

Make it 6 years if they don't make finals in 2021.
As posted on another thread. I know when Freo went 0-10 in 2016, I knew Freo were going to go 4-5 seasons of no finals. It was going to be a long rebuild. It was an ageing squad.
Backline was sorted out in the 1st year getting Hamling through a trade and Cox and Duman in the draft. Johnson and Dawson both hanged on for 1-2 years.
Everyone knows Freos biggest weakness is the tall forward stocks.
Don't get me wrong we traded in for Lobb, Kersten and Hogan and McCarthy.

Way better than the 1.7.13 kicked in round 15, 2009.
Or the 2.19.31 vs your mob in the derby last season.

You cant just base it on scores. You played Adelaide at home and they finished 5th while you were 14th.
Your second example is also score based against a much better team.
Today you played a team actually on par with you and got belted. Showed absolutely nothing like last week whatsoever.
If anything it shows you need or wait for the other team to fall over so you can win.
Heartless.

Most of Freos tall forwards are injured like Lobb or suspended like Josh Traecy or forced to play in the backline like Brennan Cox.
It's called creating depth. Sean Darcy is a solid ruckman, similar to Shane Mumford. Lloyd Meek justified his selection. Again 3 years on Freos list and didn't play a dockers game but a lot of WAFL games. Should of got a game for Freo in 2019 after a solid 2nd half for peel.
Come to think of it.... Meek is one of the few shining lights this season at Freo.

Brayshaw and Cerra about average size for a mid. Sure none of them are as physically imposing as Bontempelli, Cripps, Fyfe or even Elliot Yeo but how many of those mids exist and are quality...
Brayshaw, Cerra and Serong are some of the most quality young kids in the comp. And we sometimes have 3 of them at a stoppage at once. Still competitive in the middle. Today an exception but you would say freo won the midfield battle against Melbourne and GWS. The effort was the problem today not a lack of variety.
Edit: Give Henry some god damn time and we didn’t waste a pick on him he was a free hit would u rather we just didn’t match the bid. Walters a bad leader ... no.. bad actor I’ll give u that

That midfield is going to be good, Mundy will keep doing what he does and when he retires the other three should be prime.
