Prediction Changes v Hawthorn

Darcy or Meek out for Treacy. Will feel far more comfortable with an actual KPF up front.

Out: Acres, Meek, Young (inj)

In: Sturt, Treacy, Logue

Not sure about other injuries, and I don’t care if we have to play someone like Blakely but Acres has to be omitted. You can’t tolerate that sort of softness whilst trying to set standards. You’d have no confidence running down the race next to him.

At least Treacy will make the others stand taller.
Who are our enforcers again?
We are going nowhere without some swagger.

Shultz's injury was mentioned as concussion - so he's likely out.

IN: Sturt Treacy Logue Fyfe

OUT: Shultz Meek Young Acres

Saw Meek with a big icepack on his knee in post match interview with Sonny. Hopefully just standard.

Not against playing 2 rucks vs Hawthorn but forward line is better balanced with Fyfe and Sturt plus the two tall forwards.

Sturt for Schultz (inj)
Logue for Young (inj)
Treacy for Meek
Large Traffic Cone for Acres
Randomly Selected Freo Member for Hughes

Need to get Treacy and Sturt in next week and find a way to get the ball into their hands and take a mark within 50 m of goal 10 times in the game. This will result in 6 or 7 goals. Why? Because they can actually kick straight. On the other hand if you had Darcy and say, Frederick or Switta getting the same possessions you would likely get 3-4 goals max.
As someone said earlier if Sam Sturt only gets 6 touches but kicks 3 goals that’s a big win. That’s a dangerous player the opposition have to put time into and tie up.
If Treacy is as accurate as he is reported to be then same story. That will free up Tabs for some cheap marks in turn.

You lot aren’t going to like this, but if Fyfe is still not right next week, Blakely has to come in & help out Brayshaw, Cerra & Serong. They got beat up today & Mundy busted his gut but also needed support.

Those 3 are 21, 21 & just 20 & we are expecting far too much from them without the support of other experienced mids around them. Yes Essendon & Sydney both have young mids but are supported by Mills, Kennedy & Parker for Sydney & Parish, Smith & Merritt for Essendon amongst others.

Our young players are in very important positions on the ground & they are going to have games like this where they are overawed, * me even Richmond were with their experience this weekend.

If we lose through the middle, we lose the game as we saw today.

Some perspective is required as to where we are at & what we have available. Our balance is off in regards to experience on the park with no Fyfe, Lobb, Hamling, Pearce, Logue & even Tucker out.

Hopefully Fyfe & Logue are back over the 2 weeks & we include Sturt & Treacy as this will help our forward structure no end. We have to make opposing key defenders accountable & Darcy & Meek aren’t the ones to do it. That utensil up is on Longmuir, but he’s been pretty good so far.

Sturt's performance over the weekend has proven that we should roll the dice with our changes. If Logue is fit we bring him in without match conditioning. Darcy to ruck solo.

Out: Meek, Shultz (Inj.), Young (Inj.), one of Acres/Giro

In: Treacy, Fyfe, Sturt, Logue

Agree. One of the reasons the Slime have a good forward line is they play forwards who can kick set shots straight. Not rocket science.

How many of Acres, Schultz, Colyer, Hughes, Conca, Giro be in the best 22 of any other side.?
We aren't getting any where near finals with a majority of them in the side.
Injuries are killing us but as depth these guys are killing us.
Schultz would make a few B22 but the rest - yep you’re right. Hughes has gone backwards so far this year. Takes about 8 seconds to move the ball on every time he marks it. Just enough time for the opposition to set up their defensive structures properly

acres has to go, he’s a bruise free footy player. Hughes can go to, he’s not suited to this quick moving of the pill

Reality is that Fremantle just don't have the conviction to do what is right, there should be about 5 players dropped after that nonsense but it won't happen. Fremantle as a club is medicore, they sacked Ross too late and then replaced him with someone who only has 1 gameplan.

I've made peace with it that Fremantle likely won't win a premiership until my newborn child is an adult.

Alright here are my changes for next game:

1. I think we should give Giro a chance in Acres' spot on the wing and drop Acres to the WAFL
2. Consider debuting Western to play on the wing (kid is a Brad Hill in the making)
3. Henry needs to be dropped to the WAFL to make him earn his spot back
4. Sturt and Treacy to play forward and drop either Meek/Darcy
5. Need to drop Hughes and bring in Duman because Hughes has been terrible this season
6. Don't rush Logue in but give him a week in the WAFL to test his fitness
Holy moly. No to all of the above but 2 and 5.
Duman to replace Hughes? Barely even doing anything at WAFL level.
Western is just another example of Henry, raw and underdeveloped. They both need the WAFL to develop and build their fitness.
Giro is playing the winger role. He just needs to tidy up his disposal. He’s finding the ball, now is building that confidence agai and take the game on. The team was scared to take a chance, instead just bombed long.

I've liked Duman in the past, but as it sits right now he looks like someone who is on their way home at the end of the year to finish off their playing career in the VFL. Regardless, still think he's worth a look soon at this rate. Who knows, you don't need to do much for a contract extension here anymore.

Didn’t he restrict Toby Greene to virtually nothing last week except 2 goals in junk time?
And one this week vs Betts. He does his job. Personally like him better as a defensive midfielder. He’s so underrated when he first came over. Protected Fyfe and Brayshaw. Went in hard and sacrificed his game to keep the engine going. Need that again

Confusing post. As depth players they are handy. Having to play that many depth players because we have again failed to address our injury issues is the problem.
