There was a good bit of vision and analysis from fox on why we need to chip kick and you could see 4 blokes around Hawkins then over time our mids were able to move into position to stretch the defenders and get Hawkins a better position. You add Cameron and this is a different side

Yeah this style sucks to watch guys but you gotta realise this is self preservation/banking 4 points type of style. We are coming off the shortest pre-season in history after playing a GF and have multiple injuries to key personal. If we tried to play a fast system we'd get done every single week.
How about we bank points for the first 2 months THEN adjust and adapt.

Yeah, for sure you can move it really fast and get that 1-1 forward but with our backline we'll lose more than we win that way. Our backline can't deal with turnovers

I'll watch even more closely.

I'm not doubting your eyes, I just think its a different valuation, 10 errors against 20 really good kicks, sometimes these errors kill you, like our 3rd quarter in last years grand final other times, they don't matter at all. 40 Turnovers to 3QT, about half of them would be kicks.

That being said we had some of our best kicks have some howlers in that quarter. Hawthorn just failed to punish us.
