We would have been crying foul justifiably if we were on Essendon’s side of the umpiring tonight. They influenced the game in Sydney’s favour too much.

I know, I just mean not a single player had more than one repeat sprint in a row. Usually the top repeat sprints is 8 or 10.

Imagine if no player had more than 1 tackle in a game. They'd definitely be called lazy.

Nah I mean if you are getting up for a free kick and you impede a player from getting onto the mark by pushing them or otherwise and then you get behind the mark and play on while they are still recovering.

The umpire actively stepped in to stop it, so it was a bit strange.

The umpire identified it as a foul, but invented his own punishment for it.
