His first goal against Francis should have been holding the jumper against buddy. But hey he's buddy Franklin and no rules apply to him
The free against him when he punched the ball out of bounds against Franklin made my blood boil, against the spirit of the game and I’d hope that’s the last time a contest like that is ever interpreted in the same way.

We got pinged mercilessly with that rule with horrid decisions something like 4 or 5 times, yet Sydney didn't get done once. Farcical.

People were outraged over the Hickey non HTB, the one you suggest was EASILY the worst one given all night.

Buddy usually feasts on Essendon, but he really wasn't all that yesterday. Hooker and Stringer also kicked 3.1 last night – the three of them were the leading goal kickers for the match – not that you'll hear much about them.

Francis deserves some credit.
Buddy is also 34 years old.

Francis did a decent job on a player 13 years older than him but his tank still isn't there.

Slowly building.

Was worried last year he might have stalled but I think he is putting it together.

Wont ever be the gun I thought he would be but willbe a long term member of the backline.

Once he's next to Reid, he's every chance to become what we all hoped he would be.

Was a little surprised to see this

View attachment 1098335

Not super surprising, he's not slow by any means. A lot of time you'll see KPP's are in the top speeds, the difference between say a Majak Daw (who was regularly quickest on ground) and a Saad type, is that Daw does it for 20m, Saad does it for 100m. Being able to lead hard, or follow a lead, is what matters for the >190cm guys more than their ability to go for a trot up the ground.

Frost is the only KPP that comes to mind as being both quick on the lead and able to run and carry. Though he's also horrendous with ball in hand.
