I know this is your board etc etc but I'm only on it 'cos we play you tonight but this thread caught my eye. Since 2003 we have played port in melbourne 3 times

and we play them next week in Adelaide, our only meeting for the year

the only fair way of doing it is to play everyone once. but it won't happen cos telly and commercial interests run the show and they won't have it. maybe if we ever get more clubs that will be a possibility.

We used to play all teams twice back in the days when there were 12 teams.

I remember this always happening in the mid 2000's too.
Back then you'd pencil in a big L everyday of the week when you saw the fixture come out.

Now it's perfect finals prep in a pressure cooker environment
