Matt McGuinness was another player that was in line to return to the VFL in the coming weeks, but unfortunately re-injured his foot on Thursday at training and an expected return date is still to be determined.

Very sad for the boy. Clearly doesn't have a body that is up for the rigours of AFL football. A real shame as he apparently has great foot skills on him.

Feel for the kid, he hasn’t had much of a crack over the last two years with covid last year and the foot injury this year.

Watched him at I think Windy Hill one day and he kicked 7 or 8 and thought we might have one

Was never going to play anyway with that body frame. 2 years and he's still a stick isn't fast enough in terms of body development, and the injuries will just pile on if it continued that way.

Yep exactly can still keep him as a cat b rookie for 1 more year so seems worth it. His kicking impressed me during the training sessions I’ve been to

I hope they persist, I have seen a couple of VFL games where I thought he looked good. He seems to get to smart positions and is tall with good marking skills. I think it’s a type of player we need. I reckon he has built up a bit, he just started so damn skinny.
