I think people need to get into their head that even drafting Cox he might end up with ACL with GCS , the problem is not with drafting Hollands, but getting mature KPP body from state league to help out Max king , Lukosius , Ballard. Sam Day and Thompson injuries history is well known , don't see the need to draft more GCS Academy players or Townsend midfield type in the rookie list . Stop saying state league players won't work , just need the recruiters to choose the right one .
Saw Nutting and Colenso both prev tied to us both kicked 5 on the weekend in the Qafl, are either worth a shot in the midseason draft. Hunter showed last night Qld players are worth a shot

Nutting was pretty bang average, bringing him in will do nothing for us, especially when we need key position players and a ruck, and I don't think we should be picking anyone out of the QAFL, too vast a game between AFL and QAFL. Look at the WAFL, SANFL or VFL for those state players IF there are any good ones there. Remember a few years ago, we went to the state league and found Collins, Burgess and Corbett.

1 is an absolute star, 1 is alright who is filling a role at the moment and one can't make our team, even with a gaping hole for him to fill.

Mature state players aren't a panacea to all our problems.

Guess the kid wasn't given a chance but we need to increase our firepower , Corbett did alright last year so not sure why he's not playing. Think our match committee forgets that goals win matches at times

Corbett would be a great medium forward if his goal kicking was better. His goal kicking is very poor, watching him line up for a set shot is excruciating, seems like he drops the ball from his eye line.

Amazing how they get so far with flawed techniques , also when I played was always told to kick the ball half post height if there was a tricky wind yet you see all these players now kick post height in these conditions and they wonder why they miss

I stamped his papers “never to play again”
After the Essendon draw last year.
Given you are someone who has an 'excellent record of admitting when they're wrong' do you think you went a bit early on Corbett?

Any interest in Sam Petrevski-Seton?

Youngster from Halls Creek - mates with Farrar as mentioned in the cast last night.
Now 23, 80 games under his belt and playing back pocket / flank for Carlton which their supporters feel is not his best position (HFF)
Is apparently excellent in traffic and a nice kick.

Would add a bit of poise and class to our inside 50 delivery.

Having him lace out King instead of Macpherson, swallow or ainsworth hacking it in would be big.

Out of contract at the end of the year - asking price seems to be around a second rounder.

Definitely worth a look IMO

Suns should look to shore up its backline with Brandon Maynard or Tom Barrass
Jayden short would be a good replacement for Harbrow.

good to hear if anyone else is on the radar.

our midfield is already fairly stacked with Rowell and Davies still to come bsck

Tom Barrass won't come , Jayden Short won't Come , Maynard maybe but will be ordinary with GCS.

sounds like Maynard will fit right in then 🤣

1.3 in 60mins last night is a bloody joke
I actually see it coming , McLennan and Townsend pick up by Craig Cameron and those 1st ,2nd Rd pick trade off just won't do the team any good .

Paddy McCartin?
Should cost * all. Keen to play AFL so should have a bit of hunger. No 1 pick for peanuts working in tandem with King

Whose in charge of our recruitment and list management, if we have another unsuccessful season may be worth giving SOS a call, at least he will probably bring a few ex Carlton players up here , maybe even Jack

Sos was crap , I want Richmond or GWS current recruiters , able to get Jayden short ,Baker , Ricardi type of low end pick, up and running . They have their failure but they recruit players based on how the team want to play . GWS Bobby Hill, Sam Taylor all in second Rd pick .

Anyone here watching Josh Gibcus from GWV rebels?

Think he will rise up draft boards.

Looking like that tall defender you guys might need.

FYI Fraser Thurlow had 49 hitouts and two goals for Southport yesterday against the Carlton reserves. He's certainly putting forward a strong case to be picked up by us in the mid-season draft.

Read on the drafting board

Ewan MacPherson - (Northern) he is a good competitor, but his disposal is a bit wayward, but he is worth mentioning as he has F/S connections to the Bulldogs and knows how to win the footy

Playing style sound familiar?

Who is Carlton Reserve ruckmen . This is the first year Carlton have their reserve them , previously northern blues is crap in VFL . Check the history .
