Nearly every half decent player could get more if they wanted to move, the difference with players like Ellis is it’s an extreme life changing difference.

Ellis is soft hence expendable.

I am sure he is a great guy and is a very hard worker, but I think his disposal and decision making is usually poor, especially under pressure.

Definitley would not have him at Carlton.

Kicked some ripping and timely goals at the important part of the season.

Not bad from the midfield for someone with bad skills. The new rules suit him to a tee also.

Dermie rates him as a winger fwiw

6'3 running machine and hard as nails. Probably wouldn't hurt.
Wouldn’t really be worth it either. We play a different style to you and turnovers kill us so we need better ball users, not something that he does well. Jones and Weitering have to defend twice as many one on ones then any other defenders because of this style and another player who can’t kick playing in an outside role doesn’t help us.
maybe if we change our style he would be.

2017 Grand Final the Crows looked out on the members wing. Still remember Kamdyn sprinting 100m to man the mark of a kick and stall them so we got numbers back. Game was still in the balance. That is what he is good at.

Would be perfect for a side like North.
For far too long they have had flakey outside players in Hall, Polek and Atley.

Kamdyn gives more grunt than all three combined. They would have to pay him decent coin to move though I reckon.

Kamdyn is a heart and soul type player that offers grunt
I would hate to lose him but we just cannot pay him $600k+

But i will say this i would rather have McIntosh at $750k than Polec at $750k
1 plays with heart

Noone is paying Macca $600K hahaha

I would imagine we would offer him max $400K over 2/3 years

Reckon a side like GC / North / Blues could offer him $500K over 4 years and he would have to consider it.

So tell me how they get him to leave to go to another club ?
Gets paid / offer from Richmond $400k x 3 and is best 22 so no issue playing with his mates and fellow premiership players

How do you get this player to move for $100k more ($50k after tax)

Fact is if they want him to walk to them as a free agent it has to be a significant pay increase and $100k is not moving a premiership player with 130 Games

Extra year or 2 and an extra $100K a year gives a lot of comfort to a player that hasnt always been a lock and may not be in 2-3 years.

You dont move clubs for an extra year when you are only 27 years old and 100k pre tax

Richmond offered Ellis $400k x 3 and he got $600k x 5
thats whats required to move from a Premiership team

You conveniently missed the part where I said "year or 2"

You also ignore that the extra $100K pa is potentially x 4

I like Macca, but thats my opinion.

But you also miss the point that Macca will play another 4 years even if he stays at Richmond , He is a required player at our price point
the extra year is not really a big incentive to move clubs - I wouldnt

I dont think he is a lock best 22, in fact I would hope he gets upgraded inside 4 years.

kamdyn is below average in every stat for his career outside of metres gained lets not pretend he is elite,

he is a 2 way runner that defends the wings well in the defence, in a poor team he offers zero outside of leadership imo

Where did I say he was elite?
He’s a hard running defensive wingman whose best work is done when he doesn’t have the ball. Providing cover down back or that option that needs to be covered off on the spread when we have the ball is perfect for our game style and success.

It’s a sacrificial game, and I understand that many who just look at stats like you do to evaluate a players worth don’t appreciate it. I spose I’ve been lucky to see so many Richmond games live over the past few years with him in the team to appreciate his worth.

His selfless gut running would be valued at a side like North who don’t have this sort of player.

can you read? i outlined the role he plays. stop pretending like other people don't watch games,

he wouldn't get a kick at north, as he is a role player . nothing wrong with that its a dam good system.

Why could he not a play a role in poor team like North? He might thrive with more responsibility, many do. He is also about to enter his prime.

100% true, I think Brandon Ellis is playing better at the Suns than what he did the last couple of years at Richmond cause he has more responsibility where as at Richmond he has a lot more competition.
