I think if he nominates he'll be drafted. We'd probably have to promise him we'd draft him at the end of the year for him to not nominate for mid-season.
But if club places a bid on him in the first round we can’t match it because of the rule changes

It is looking like Cody Raak is starting to be talked up as a top 20 prospect. Just saying.

In the Mid Season Draft, yes.

For the National Draft (if he's not taken at the MSD), it is very unlikely he'll crack the top 20 due to the overall depth of the pool.

He's having a cracking start to the year but he is also older than most of the kids out there.

What sort of player is Raak? Does he play that third tall role? Or more genuine KPD, absolutely racking up touches atm

I'm crossing everything I have Raak doesn't nominate for the mid season draft. We'll have egg on our faces if he turns out to be a handy type in a position of need for us, if he goes in to be picked up another club.

Would like to have him as an intercepting 3rd tall to allow Keath and Young/Gardner play a more lock down role.

He’d be behind all of Wood, Buku, Williams & Croz who’d be playing a similar role so I’m not stressed, at the time I thought it was silly to not have a free crack at him as a CatB at least though or delist Rourke/Hayes who just look miles off it.

I’m just hoping the club set a clear path for him when they didn’t pick him up. Hopefully he’s already decided he’s not going to the MSD and is just concentrating on getting a full years development with the support of the club.
