Nice to see some test cricket back on again. The most boring time of year for me personally is when the IPL is on and there is hardly any international cricket fixtures.

Sri Lanka to win the series with ease with the amount of uncertainty around Bangladesh. Predicting Dickwella to get his maiden ton too.

The Sri Lankan's seem to have put together a good batting lineup - Thirimanne is in form, Karunaratne's solid. Couple of young batsman with a bright future in Fernando and Nissanka. Mathews is quality, de Silva can do great things and Dickwella is pretty consistent these days.

Watch them get rolled for 150 now.

I've always looked at the Sri Lankan batting line-up and thought the individual names on paper look decent but they never seem to put it together in the same match. Even back when Kusal Perara and Kusal Mendis were in the top order with Mathews and Chandimal behind them you thought that was a pretty decent Test batting line up. They'd then get rolled.

Oshada Fernando has just turned 29 btw so you couldn't really describe him as a young batsman but he's certainly provided a level of stability at 3.

Talent and performance it often takes time for the performance to match the talent and especially for these nations that are playing a lot less test cricket

Quite the day for Bangladesh finishing 2/302 at stumps. Najmal Hossain Shanto with his first Test century after Tamim Iqbal got them off to a flyer.

You get the feeling the Sri Lankan curators have tried to make a pitch to help their fast bowlers for once however have got it horribly wrong due to never having had to do it before and made one of the roadiest roads ever.
