This is less clashy than if both teams had normal home jumpers on. It’s a clash for sure, don’t get me wrong. But at least the white shorts aren’t clashing with Collingwood’s white stripes the way they usually would.

It wasn’t that bad. Well, at least compared to the Collingwood–Essendon farce.

The last time Adelaide wore navy away to Hawthorn was Round 4 2008.
Since then, it’s been red or white.

Should Adelaide wear the red guernsey or the yellow guernsey when playing away to Richmond?

I suspect the yellow top would work better. The yellow hoops are what would create a clashy effect.

Here is some vision of that 2008 game, which also happened to be in Launceston. Its not really much better than what we saw today. Hawthorn’s white number panel of the time certainly didn’t help things though.

Add me to the list of 'not a clash but very poor contrast' in the Hawthorn v Adelaide game. The red jumper has been brilliantly executed but the Crows could certainly use another option against the Hawks. Hopefully we see Adelaide in red again this season.

I feel like the hoops cause most of the issues when it comes to the clash. Red/yellow versions of this jumper would probably work better

Don’t recall a big 4 clash ever generating so much mainstream attention. Wonder if it will lead to any change?

Yes but I said on dark overall jumpers which Hawthorn doesn’t have as its gold dominate.
