Can anyone provide me with an accurate list of Minor Premiers in the old AFL Reserves between 1919 and 1999?
A link of some type to the standings each year at the end of the H&A season would be even better, but a list would do.

There was no AFL reserves comp in the 1990s, & before that you need the VFL records.

A site called Australian Football has some of the reserves seasons in full on it, but it only goes back to 1980 roughly. I want to see the rest between 1919 & 1980. Discovered that St Kilda won the Minor Premiership in 1999 and Daniel Healy won the Reserves B&F Gardiner Medal.

As unfairly bleak as the 1980's were, the club played in two reserves Grand Finals in there (1982 & 1987).

You should be able to find them all in the AFL record archive that is on the state library of Victoria website. I was looking at 1999 recently and each round of the home and away season had the ladder, previous weeks results, goal kickers...etc

Sure there was, just not all clubs were involved.

Sorry for the long list, not sure how else to post a table, but here it is. 1921-1923 missing, you might be able to find it somewhere. If you want more detail about standings, you may need to go through the State Library's collection of VFL records (http://cedric.slv.vic.gov.au/R/4Q3I...NUQ-05985?func=collections&collection_id=1081), most years have the final standings in the week 1 finals record but it would be a tedious task.

Thanks, appreciate that quite a bit.

Funnily enough, I believe it was officially called the VFL Reserves in 1990 and 1991, then the VSFL from 1992 to 1994, then the AFL Reserves from 1995 until 1999. It then officially disbanded, with each club’s reserves team either winding up or moving into the VFL.
