So since they went to fortnightly drops, (rounds 7-12) Richmond, Melbourne, the Dogs and Geelong have all been scheduled for as many or more Friday Night games than every non Vic side combined. Port with 0, St Kilda get 1.
Port played Tigers on a Friday on April 9

That was part of the initial 6 rounds released when the fixture was released. I'm talking about the following six weeks that have been released in two weeks drops since the season started.

Meanwhile we go back to being the Sunday Bloody Sunday specialists.
5 of the next 6 games on a Sunday.
Bloody joke.

I PLAY GOLF ON SUNDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
It sucks from a fan/watching point of view, but is exactly what the team needs right now. Maximises 7 day breaks against weaker opposition while we are having an injury crisis.

gotta love richmond vs st kilda on friday in round 15 while we play the dogs on the sunday

giving us a 10 day break for no reason, right after the bye, rather than spreading those days out over the rest of the year. frustrating.

though that sunday arvo slot against the bulldogs has been a happy hunting ground over recent years, have smashed them a few times, even when they've been fancied

Exactly, makes no sense at all.

They often do that for us after the bye when we play on a Thursday. I think the deal is that we effectively get two byes, maybe to offset some of the travel we do. It's good timing for it, as we should have most of the current injured players back by that Bulldogs game.

Reckon our bye will be moved a week later and fixture rejigged.

Easy move would be for Essendon to stay here after playing us. Richmond come over to play Essendon in Dreamtime at the Derbarl Yerrigan next week, while we fly to play Carlton at the SCG. We fly home to host Richmond in the week we were both meant to have a bye. Our bye moves to the next week.

Was also about to post about this.

I view it as a positive, because the match vs Sydney shapes as a crunch match and - famous last words - we surely are good enough to account for Carlton wherever they play. Need to learn to win at the SCG again.
