Soft spot for Brisbane
What happened to being the unplayed sub was such a mental drain on performance afterwards?

now Fog is good to go after being unplayed sub? Consistent messaging at its finest
Fog played a full game last week.

Obviously the intense psychotherapy sessions plus ECT worked a treat

Stoked that Fog is back in on talent alone. But I reckon in a game that's going to have above average levels of spite and general nastiness, his aggression at the ball and the man has been a factor in his selection this week.

Irrelevant

Our coaches have taken those three positives who've shown they can play at the level and reduced them to the point that they aren't in our 22

Coaches are responsible for developing players and ours are regressing.
But have they actually shown they can play at the level??..

surely “playing at the level” means being able to play great football for more than 6 games in 5 years (himmelberg) or for more than a season (in mcpherson and mcadam’s case).

“shown they can play at the level” would have to mean proving you can for at least 50 or so games and cementing a permanent spot in an AFL 22.. or else you come just another one of those numerous lads that get a couple of dozen games, show some alright signs but ultimately not much else and then their career fizzes away to nothing.

Good clubs turn some good football into more

Bad clubs erode some good football into nothing

Better than Lockett, but completely ineffective and should be dropped. He is both incredible and useless. Schroedinger's Fog.
More accurate than Lockett, but otherwise useless. There is no contradiction, no matter how much you try to paint it as such.

I wouldn't mind seeing this actually. I doubt he will make it as a forward but he's quite athletic for a big guy. Have him as an extra, floating in defence. Port will get plenty of inside 50's so we need to limit their scoring and hope to hit them on the rebound.
Why did they recruit McAsey then?

Unfortunately for Nicks you can't always wait for someone to put there's down to make a change. Kelly hasn't done anything wrong to lose his spot, but at this point they need to ID every guy they think will be a best 22 in 3-4 years time and get games into them now if they're showing they're capable of it, of which I think Worrell is the most obvious choice not getting that treatment at this point.
Nicks is another delusional coach. He doesn’t have that 3-4 year vision. He’s looking to push up the ladder now.

How the heck is Rowe still in? Unreal.

Mackay over any youngster? Hooray, it’s happening again.

Hately needs a CONSISTENT block of games, he will never make it otherwise. I’m not sure he does have what it takes, but we will always be second guessing if we don’t invest time into him.
