He’s gone in full Tennis Dad in defence of young Rhylee after he got dropped this week. Rhylee stank the place out, though he has a point about JJ!

He should give Bev a call, not act like drunk bogan dad at under 15s.

I'm a fan of Rhylee West, think he'll be a decent enough player, but his performance v Richmond was potentially one of the worst individually all year. 1 effective disposal, 5 clangers, nothing worked for him.
I reckon better off getting confidence back up in VFL performing well, as he's shown he's capable of, rather than serving up that s**t at AFL level again.

Schache was also awful. Again, better off having another go at VFL and getting your hands on the ball rather than having concrete hands.

Being dropped is not the insult some take it to be. Dane Swan was dropped multiple times in 2003, a year he won the Pies VFL B&F in their flag side. Ablett Jnr in 2002.
More recently, with their careers yet to project out, Jack Graham was dropped in 2019 and forced to regain his spot, Liam Duggan was dropped for the 2019 finals, as was Noah Balta! With the right attitude being dropped makes you a better player.

Obviously we don't know the full story, if Bevo drops them and doesn't tell them what they need to work on specifically to get a spot back, then yeah sure have a whinge, but don't perform like s**t and expect to get a game (in a top 4 side anyway, come to North and we'll have 1 effective disposal a game thanks).

He did watch his son play last week, right? The less said about it the better.
Naish, who was on the field for all of 5 minutes had one disposal and it was still more memorable than West’s entire game.

He’s a midfielder not a flanker, sure- but He isn’t good enough to be playing over Bontempelli, Macrae, Treloar, Libba, Hunter or Smith. So he has to get his games in other positions. If you can’t play that role- you can’t afford to carry passengers in today’s game. He has a lot to work on, best he keep doing that at VFL level.

Sometimes when I'm having a rough day I picture Scott West's pained expression on the night he finished runner up to Woewodin and it never fails to cheer me up.
