Dogs play 2 of Martin English Sweet in the ruck then Naughton & Bruce forward and Keath & Cordy as defenders
Dees play Gawn & Jackson in the ruck, Brown & McDonald up forward and 3 of May Lever Petty or Tomlinson down back
Cats play 2 of Stanley Esava Blicavs in the ruck, Hawkins & Cameron up forward and Henderson Kolodjashnij Henry down back
Lions play McInerney in the ruck Hipwood Daniher McStay as forwards with Andrews Gardiner Lester Adams as defenders
Port play Lycett or Ladhams in the ruck, Dixon Marshall Georgiades up forward, Clurey Allir Jonas down back

We play Nankervis in the ruck, Jack and Tom up forward, Astbury Balta Grimes Broad down back.

So we're playing a similar type of structure in terms of the number of talls so may it's worth opting for a swap of say Broad or Balta or Astbury for CCJ to trial the second ruck support to see if it works better than what we're currently doing.

Broad? I thought he was in our best half dozen. Vlastuin played a pretty decent game as well.

What is it with some people on here with Nathan Broad? Even when he plays well he gets potted. He's one of the best defenders in the game. Tough, smart, quick, uses the ball well and can play on talls or smalls. The only pure defender we have who's better or more reliable is Dylan Grimes and he's the best in the game.

I'm normally a Broad fan, however, the 2nd half against Geelong and the first half last night was way below his best, His second half against Geelong was diabolical. He, along with many improved when we re structured in the second half last night. At his best, I agree with your assessment of Broad.

Vlastuin played a decent game? Compared to what? His usual standard........no way. He's usually Mr Reliable.
If not for Grimes covering for his final deliberate out of bounds clanger and saving the game for us, there'd be many on here critical of Vlastuin's performance.
But, all's well that ends well.

Compared to his usual standard he played a decent game (his usual standard being magnificent). Made a few mistakes but also did some good things and it's only his second game back.

You are correct - Lynch is carrying the forward line. Even with his form not being great, way too much is expected of him to make it be effective.
