It may well be a moot point, but my comment was a play on words given the poster's unwillingness to divulge the identity of the player allegedly positive, in which case the reference to being 'mute' on the matter was relevant despite me knowing full well that it was the incorrect word.

In your overzealous desire to satisfy your pedantry, you've overlooked the subtle implantation of the incorrect word which actually is more relevant than the correct word in this context.
