If Pendlebury isn't going to play in the middle he should be at half back then.

He's pretty vanilla normally, workmanlike at best, but TBF he was our best player today, stats or no stats. Topped the AFL ranking points I believe.Don't stat watch, Mayne is the least damaging player in the league with ball in hand.
I wouldn’t go that far but he was pretty goodHe's pretty vanilla normally, workmanlike at best, but TBF he was our best player today, stats or no stats.
True but if the club allows Bucks to coach for 10 years surely we give Harvey 10 games as caretaker coach. In: Cox, Callow, Elliot and Adams
Out: Grundy, Madge, C Brown and WHE
A whole new forward line with 3 additions to it. Backs doing ok and Bucks out with Selwood in as temp coach cause we don’t want any of the Buckley brigade in the big seat.

We were a much worse team in the late 90s. We had very few players of promise. Unlike now when we have a promising batch of kids coming through.Racked up the 15m kick chips to the back pocket like a madman, yes indeed.
Sorry, just find it laughable Bucks beginning if the year wanted to play a fast, attacking style of football then he charges Mayne with the kickouts. He is what he is as a player but does nothing for the present and future of the club.
Just had it with this team after 30 years. Long for the Tony Shaw days haha
Cox in as well. Losing Grundy may not hurt as much as some think. It will be interesting to see. I noticed a comment from Dwayne Russell which was so telling. "Grundy taps the ball put of congestion which is so unlike him as he normally drops it at his feet." Exactly. How does that benefit the team? I would never question Grundy's effort, just his effectiveness.Sounds like Elliott and McCreary will be in and maybe Adams if he's ok.
But losing Grundy will hurt a bit.

I still found the worst of the Shaw era are more engaging than the crap we are serving up this and many other years under the chosen one.We were a much worse team in the late 90s. We had very few players of promise. Unlike bow when we have a promising batch of kids coming through.
The passage of time softens the horror of the Unshaw years.I still found the worst of the Shaw era are more engaging than the crap we are serving up this and many other years under the chosen one.

Luke Godden charging out of the back pocket like a raging bull and shinning it to an opposition player? Jason Wild in his oversized long sleeved jumper. Frankie Raso! The passage of time softens the horror of the Unshaw years.
We had a team of scribbers back then, honest triers but they lacked any quality or potential. We have a team that's struggling now, but there is absolutely potential there in my opinion. You can just see that we'll rocket up the ladder next year once we get a smidge of off field direction.Luke Godden charging out of the back pocket like a raging bull and shinning it to an opposition player? I think your memory is playing tricks. Here are some of our results from our wooden spoon year.
North-eventual premiers beat us North 16.17 to Pies 15. 10 two weeks before the finals began.
Port beat us by a point. Port 12. 16 to Coll:13.9
Melbourne beat us by 11 points Melb: 13. 11 to Pies 11. 12
Adelaide beat us by 5 points: Adelaide: 14.15 to Pies: 14.10
Essendon beats us by 8 points: Essendon: 15.18 to Pies: 15.10
Geelong beat us by 3 points: Geelong 19.14 to Pies 19:11
I watched most of these games live and they were far more enjoyable than the rubbish we are serving up now.

Wouldn't mind seeing our team filled with potential kick double digit goals in a game.We had a team of scribbers back then, honest triers but they lacked any quality or potential. I don’t think maybe was bad, he was serviceable, but kick ins count as possessions if I’m not mistaken. You'd drop Mayne who led our disposals for the game today?
That's a glass half empty comment. What about our defence restricting last year's GFs to 8 goals for the game?Wouldn't mind seeing our team filled with potential kick double digit goals in a game.
