That Naughton miss 20 out in front still annoys me, would have made it 2 goals. He misses, goes the other end, they goal and all of a sudden it’s 4 goals.
How does he get those easy misses out of his game?
Just don't think he kicks through it on the close shots tries to steer them and ends up shanking it

You’re a rude, depressing excuse of a poster really aren’t you 😳😂

9 and 2 and second on the ladder. Hate to read what you’ll spew out if we are second last. Try to enjoy it little fella we are having a great season .... 🤪

It's like he woke up with a huge headache at about lunchtime, drank a half finished Woodstock can and remembered how tough he felt the night before...

Pretty sure he'll be asleep again by now... 🤐

I notice his first action is always to look at the shot clock. then he sets himself, then he looks at the shot clock again... his main focus should be on his technique and approach not the clock. When he doesn't look at the clock he seems to kick them!

So is our team more personal based than systems based?

It’s a nonsense to say any team is either. Take Dusty, Lynch, Cotch, Riewoldt out and see how system based Richmond go… it’s always both. Always.

I won't speak for any other Dees fan but I would say that considering the opposition that the doggies beat in those last four games of 2016, they absolutely deserved the flag and were gifted nothing. The person making that comment was probably talking about umpiring favouring the dogs but that would be a load of nonsense.

Amazing how much less interest I have in the other games over the weekend when we lose

Not great match ups really this week are they.

Covid lockdown also seems to take the edge of things too. Hard to get pumped about anything much.

We’ve been really fortunate in Canberra to have missed most of the extreme measures throughout the pandemic

We got shown up tonight, not for the first time. I honestly think we’ve had it to easy and coming up against a solid side we just got jumped. Honestly that’s the best we’ve got to face this year and it’s not much… if we play them full strength later in the year we’ll beat them, f*n easily. They do not worry me
One bit
The second time, then? First time was against the Tiges.

Nah, I don't count a quarter or half as a showing-up.

The excuses I've seen from our supporters have been hilarious.
Signs have been worrying all year that we've struggled when the game isn't played on our terms. When teams outwork us and pressure the ball carriers we fall apart.

Melbourne are the better side. Pretty simple.

We look a lot like Adelaide in those years in the 2000s where they'd continually finish top 4 with a high percentage and crumble in finals. Regular season specialists.
You may be right, but we need more evidence. 10-2 is not bad. This is the time to lose these games. Also injuries have played a part. I agree with you, Melbourne were far better. One more thing, we lost the game in the first quarter, where they took us to task. the six goals they kicked were due to our turnovers. well done on them. they did their homework. we need to do ours.

Brisbane at Ballarat and Port away were both good wins against 'contenders'. Can't deny that there's been some worrying signs when the heat is on, but I think you're forgetting about the Brisbane win in terms of contenders.
Agree with you here. I think Brisbane are the real deal here and not Melbourne TBH.

You add the 6-7 we have out and you have better players with ball in hand and will have more entries but i agree if we play them again and Bev allows us to bomb it in we will get beat again.

The strange part tonight is we wouldn’t run and draw their players and cut through them with hands like we normally do. That would have nullified May and Levers ability to zone off and our deliveries at worst would have been deeper to contests.

When we have to go toe to toe with good teams our bottom 6 get shown up for how far off or they are and tonight was another example but not all bad.

Played awful
Coached awful

Only lost by 5 goals
Conclusion: sometimes good coaches and good players don't get it right. We live and learn.
