His reputation far outweighs what he delivers on. No one listens to his show. I get why people like him but Hudson has him covered easily as a caller.

Only Geelong supporters could like him . Sanctimonious, virtue signalling , punce . Ratings disaster. Hutchy time to move him on , admit you are wrong and bring KB back . Or appoint Kane Cornes to the gig .
He’s reflects Peters Principle . Way out of his depth .

I like Gerard, I don't like Dwayne Russell, I turn off when Dwayne comes on and don't complain about it.

He's a hypocritical campaigner-head. He said on the Sam, Mike and Don podcast that he takes a somewhat of a "stance" against gambling by refusing to have a paid betting segment on his SEN show. What a fa'rk-head. Where does the crunt think big chunks of his MASSIVE salaries come from? He fakn KNOWS full well where.
Interesting. I distinctly remember Whately having a robust discussion on sports betting with Jon Faine when on 774. Faine , the E-Type-owning Socialist, was opposed to it but crudely so whereas Whateley's line was essentially that odds in a sporting context are as intrinsic as the rules the game are, betting merely being the monetising of those odds...you couldn't have heard that talk and come away with the impression Whately is anti-gambling, so obviously something has changed.

Have not heard nor seen GW for a couple of years and I really cant say I have missed him..Journalists in general in this country are lower than a used car salesman. There is no footy and yet there are still too many football shows.

I miss Clinton Grybas.

Whateley is not fit to carry that guy's microphone.

Spot on. Clinton didn’t go over the top, let guests do the talking and be centre stage, didn’t have to resort to get highfalutin, flowery, over the top language to ramp up the drama, he just hit the spot every time. Such a huge loss.

It’s a game of football Gerard...

This is what I mean. Football isn’t life or death, it’s a game. Yes, it gives people great joy and excitement, but there are people having children, dying of cancer, living on the streets, having major life traumas. Seriously, he needs to get a friggin grip.

He is those things but that is just who he is, who he probably has always been...he presents an interesting show on SEN with qualities which allow you to overlook the piety. It shits me when people like Garry and Tim push that same agenda...seems just so fake. They have adopted it out of convenience, or have listened only to the loudest voices. Like Garry the other day was about to say "wait a cotton pickin' minute..." but stopped himself at "wait a cott...I was about to say something I shouldn't... I have been educated, now I know better!!" oh go away, it's called indocrination not education

At least used car salesmen have to go through a fit and proper person test ( and provide a police report showing no conviction for a serious offence in past 10 years) to be able to work in their industry. These media pri*cks in the media are just reckless.

This campaigner is calling for shorter quarters, hell-bent on it, does tonight's game do enough for him to change his mind?

I can’t stand these campaigners calling for shorter quarters, just because they have to attend multiple games for work and CBF watching 20 minute quarters.

The best games are those close ones where both teams are out on their feet at the end, yet still have to go and give it their all as it opens up. Gerard and co. can stick their shorter quarters and stop feeling like they are speaking for the average footy fan.

Garry Lyon talking to Gerard this morning, blowing smoke up his arse about his vocabulary because he once used the word vicariously.

Garry asks: "Have you always been a wordsmith?"

Gee, it's a low bar.

And Gerard, I suppose to his credit, manages to deflect by saying he's always had an interest in language because his mum was an English teacher and he reads widely, and sometimes comes across a word that he thinks is beautiful. Ok, fine. You're a chin-stroker but I'll allow it.

But then you've got Tim Watson in the background, who just grunts: "Beeewwwdiful."

If the agreement is to make Gerard look smarter by comparison, they've succeeded with flying colours.
