Was disappointed when I heard small forward. Started to feel a bit happier when I looked at his stats as a midfielder this year. I just read that we see him as a small forward, and now I just feel sad. Bit of a wasted pick if that's our plan for him.

If you compare his year last year to this year he has made a pretty significant step in disposal numbers, tackles and clearances. I reckon there’s something to work with there.

Yeah no AFL team was picking Edwards. He's nowhere near that level.

I'm personally pretty disappointed in the strategy. We really needed a player that could step in straight away and impact AFL. Whereas this seems like a speculative longer term pick, in a position that we are heavily stocked. Really struggle to understand it.
