Coverage starts at 6.30PM on the AFL website and AFL app:

The draft itself starts at 7pm (AEST)

The draft order for the mid-season rookie draft is the reverse ladder order after Round 11, with the number of picks dependent on the number of open list spots. (Spots opened up as LTIs/retirees are put on the inactive list.)

Be interesting to see how Hawthorn manage all of Lewis, Kozi, Jeka and now Callow. Reasonable chance all crack it but I struggle to see them getting near the Roughead/Franklin/Dunstall/Brereton-tier. Guess some of them could play in defence.
Just a shotgun blast of average forwards and maybe one makes it. I don't think it's gonna cause a logjam.

Players of every position have grown

Key forwards of 2005 - 2015 - JJK, Riewoldt, Hall, Cloke, Schulz were 193 - 196cm size
Key forwards of 2020 - 2030 - Mckay, King x 2, Naughton, Hipwood, JUH are the 195 - 205cm size
Dominate Wingers will be 195-200+ soon, Jack Lukosius, Jarrod Brander, Nik Cox, Mark Blicavs.

Nick Riewoldt, Matt Richardson the trail blazers

Just watched highlights of Boyd and although bio says small forward he looks like a running defender. Nice size, seems to have good leg speed and a very good ball user
Yep, looks like a very good kick on the highlights package. Fingers crossed he establishes himself.

That's my hope for Callow.

not a chance, they would play chol and ryan before considering a fresh ruck developer or a jackson thurlow type. club whisper is that we may have almost seen the last of cotchin unfortunately (outside issues), whether its that he goes on for the rest of the year but retires at the end of this year or finishes up next year, they need a mid replacement for him (they have a plethora of mid/fwd spreaders) someone who is frantic at the ball and a clearance specialist (freeman), or a solid kpd prospect (schlensog). are they backing themselves to get cerra, or will they cover that position just in case with a pick tonight. got a feeling the spot has been offered to freeman.
So we either have seen the last of Cotch or he might finish at the end of this year or might retire at the end of next year. So you’ve pretty much covered all bases there. Surprised you didn’t also throw in he might retire in 2 years as well.
