If you get him what does that mean for James?
I think the long term plan would be for James to transition into the position as the right sided centre-back that Azpi currently fills.

I could have saved the spiel by writing something completely different to what I wrote?

Cool story.

You are delusional if you think clubs are funding purchases like Haaland with player sales.

The only clubs that are affording him are those that are underwritten by institutional money or oligarchs.

The revenue figures can be as nicely re-worked on paper as much as you like, you can drop terminology like "amortization" like it actually matters for anything other than FFP.

The only club in the league that has genuine revenue to match their spending power is Man Utd, the others are in supreme debt or are being underwritten by external revenue.

This isn't up for debate, most English clubs are absolutely broke despite record TV revenue.

Player wages are unsustainable and will kill the sport unless there's drastic change, which there probably will be in the next decade. Some clubs wage bills alone are operating at over 100% of annual revenues. The Super league is already evidence of how desperate some clubs are becoming.

Didnt Torres make it clear he didn't want to join us?

Nope.

He is on the list. I still believe we'll get him or Varane.

El Primer Palo] Sevilla have offered Sergio Ramos a 5-year contract with a 7M salary and the opportunity to stay at the club even after he retires.

ABC] Sergio Ramos now accepts the offer to renew for one year, but Real Madrid assures that there is no longer an offer. The club will only contact the player for arranging a farewell

El Partidazo de COPE] Madrid are open to allowing Varane leave the club. They believe they can let him go for €60M. He has another year remaining on his contract and they have also offered him an extension but he has not responded to it.

Reckons utd will go for Coman if Sancho too expensive.

---.

BILD] Bayern have ended talks to extend Kingsley Coman. Zahavi, his agent, wanted the Frenchman's salary to be doubled and increased to 17 M€, as a result, Bayern has stopped everything. The Frenchman will be sold if a good offer arises this summer.

The Coman links are all by his agent trying to get a better deal out of Bayern.

Well if we want to contend we need him in the midfield.

Could see us giving him a 3 year deal.

That was a waste to even click on the link. All to read that Paul Pogba has said that contract talks haven't started lol.

The top in the Premier league pre pandemic was 84.9%.

The top from the richer clubs that I referred to was 58.4%.

Even with the short term impact of the pandemic of revenue, still pretty healthy.
