So we have someone who travelled an hour each way to get to training and games after a exhaustive day working and been a full timer for a few days and plays like that.
Now trains full time in AFL environment and plays out season with a preseason to come which makes him stronger and fitter.
Oh **** what out rivals.
You sacking the coach today and keeping Wright ?

Jai and JOM currently housemates.

Jai is going to learn a lot from Jaeger and it already looks like they’ve built a bit of a bond.

Big difference is graham is an endurance beast. Apparently the best power runner at Richmond. He is a bit of a freak when you watch him closely. He will be in the BP next minute he will be on screen in the middle, then finally in the F50 in the final phase. Not sure newcombe has this type of aerobic capacity or ever will
A minute is a hell of a long time to go half a ground length though.

Yep, the little rub of the head from JOM when he joined the main group from the centre in the club song at the end was touching.

Had him under his wing post siren too.

Guys, perhaps just chill on the wines comparison. 😂😂

Just body shape and impact on the contest last night defensively and with the clean in-close hands. We all love a good player comparison. Not suggesting he's guaranteed to have the same career as Wines, but the similar attributes are there.

Anyone know what he was doing for work?

Liam Shiels at his tackling peak.

Brilliant debut. Now to keep it up against Essendon.

Obviously it's only one game, but Duke's tackling appears to be on another level. It may be that he and Shiels will have comparable numbers, but Shiels never tackled and buried people/drove them into the ground like the Duke was doing. Those huge pipes of the and the thicc thighs help. He's like a lion bringing down his prey.

TBH I'm expecting that he will give away a few free kicks with his tackles, but if he goes that hard every game then it will be worth it.

Best player for him to learn from, both in terms of how they play and in particular in how JOM prepares himself. True professional on/off the field.

I wonder if Jai has any leadership traits that JOM can help develop. I expect Jai is the kind of player that the rest of the team will enjoy playing with and will eventually look to for leadership (by his actions at least).
