Games are back in Victoria this weekend - no crowds except for those going to VFL/AFL Double header in Geelong on Friday evening

LOL at no fans..........

Franga you can literally watch the entire game from various vantage points, Kars St behind the goals you are 6 ft from the fence, side street next to the social club is another nice view from the footpath.

Arden Street i think you can just wander in from the footpath and lean on the fence as there is no outer fence.

Werribee looks like you could wander up to the outer fence and have a perfect view of the ground

Last night's games
Footscray 14-12(96) def Geelong 9-9(63)
Frankston 13-15(93) def Northern Bullants 10-5(65)

Frankston's first win over Northern Bullants (Blues) since 2013.

"VFL CLUBS have been given a financial boost as the struggles with COVID-19 continue, with the Victorian Government handing out nearly $1 million across the competition.

Six standalone VFL clubs – Coburg, Frankston, the Northern Bullants, Williamston, Port Melbourne and Werribee – will each receive funding of $130,000 to assist their bounce back from 2020's season which was completely wiped out.

Three AFL-affiliated VFL clubs – Box Hill Hawks, Casey Demons and Sandringham – have also been granted $65,000."

What are the rules, if any, for AFL Clubs dropping players back to the VFL when there is an AFL bye?

Richmond are stacked playing Willy with 18 AFL listed players including Pickett, Stack, C-Dawkins, Rioli.

All of their list have trained during the lockdown whilst Willy haven't trained for 3 weeks.

Shows how tough it is for stand alone teams.

if the AFL team has a bye, their VFL team also has a bye due to the CBA for the players. All listed players are entitled to min 4 days holiday at the bye.

it’s why Collingwood vfl for example had a bye this week despite only having played 5 games

But Richmond AFL has a bye this week

How is it fair that Port, Willi and Werribee, all owning pokies palaces, get the same funding as Coburg, Preston and Frankston?? Also Box Hill and Casey are just reserves sides, they deserve nothing. Sandy, I agree are still a tiny bit independent.

My match report from the Frankston v Bullants match. Worth a look just for the photos of Jack Boyd’s mark of the year contender

Good to see the Dolphins make some strides this year and great to see the Bullants back as a stand alone, they will only get better. Playing at night, Players didn't have to worry about the afternoon sun reflecting off the bay in their eyes down at Skybus!

Damn good mark that one.

Wonder why they switched it to a Casey home game from Essendon.
