We were good against brisbane, can not think of any forced changes this week.
Would like to see Atu given another run at some stage this season though. Thought his neat skills and speed were promising as a small defender earlier in the season.

Atu was good in the VFL, but he wouldn't put anyone out of the current backline.

Yeah, Polec not far off either.

Maybe can't even rule out some management moves based on errors this week... Stevo for example for those late soft efforts. Not that I can see that happening but the list is starting to rejuvenate from injury, some who have been coursing a bit may not make the cut if Noble wants to shoot out some messages. Just spitballing of course.

I’m a fan of Stevo too but going in hard isn’t his thing. He’s been like that his whole career. Collingwood supporters used to tell me that he puts in soft efforts long before they traded him. I think it’ll always be the case unless he puts on size. Luckily he brings so much else to his game that it outweighs it, but it’s why I’m not sold on him wanting to be a centre square mid.

Exactly. He’s not built for it

Look, if the games on the line, sure, but you don't put your Manikato Stakes colt over the jumps at Warnambool.

This bloke is going to be one of our future September specialists. He's already shown glimpses on the biggest stage.

Any chance the game is moved to Melbourne so we can get back to the footy?
LOL Your talking the AFL and the Victorian state Government here but there is a solution to this .
Tell the above to move the game to Geelong put Geelong jumpers on and problem solved we get a game in Victoria and a crowd.
As it’s common knowledge anything that goes wrong in this state whether it’s Corvid or job losses EG:Ford
the government always looks after Geelong.

Yeah, but then you'd have to support Geelong or live there. No thanks.

I honestly reckon this is a 50/50 game.

I'm inclined to agree though somewhat fearful to say it.

The GC were terrible against Port. Hardly a player stood up for their cause (assuming they do have a cause). Which will mean that they are likely to get a rocket up them this week from Dew and should come out in a much more competitive manner.

If they don't and we win then we could see another coach sacked by tomorrow week. Of course Teaguey might get the chop ahead of Dew.

Regardless, I reckon we can forget about the AFL taking away their priority pick and giving it to us.

Scott had a great game tagging Rich who is as under rated as Cunners.

Scott could be our hard tagger. This could be a piece of the top 8 puzzle we have to put together over the next few years. Scott puts in but hasn't shown that special talent that all good AFL players have. I hope they give him a similar task this week so we can see what he has got..

Didn't Nobes speak so well in the Coaches Review? Could have been Fagan of a few years ago.

Still need another tall forward and there ain't one in the Twos. I favor Campbell over Xerri for this week as we are a good chance to win.

Powell and Scott for Phillips and Ford.

As bad as Xerri was, we need to persist for a little while longer to see what he has long-term.

Agree on this. Xerri stays in until Campbell kicks the door back down or Comben is an option.

State league affiliate: Gold Coast (VFL)
This weekend: Aspley v Gold Coast - Saturday June 19, 12pm, Graham Rd

The talented Ben Ainsworth was one of Gold Coast's best in its tight-fought six-point win against Aspley, finishing with 24 disposals, five marks and 4.3.

Key target Josh Corbett was dominant in the air, kicking five goals from his 18 disposals and 11 marks.

Will Brodie (22 disposals) and Alex Davies (18) controlled the middle of the ground with seven clearances apiece, while second-year midfielder Jeremy Sharp found plenty of the footy, recording 31 disposals and seven marks

I would revise my Scott call. I only watched the first quarter and didn’t know he was tagging Rich.

Isn't this the kid that cries to return to his mummy in WA?

I think Campbell was having a pretty good impact before Xerri came in. (Although it's to be expected considering the gap in experience)

Campbell possessing that extensive crucial experience allowed him to get the right taps, take those crucial grabs and push forward for a counter-attack goal.

It will take time for Xerri to get into his groove compared with largely a different list he was playing in last year. There's less seniors, more raw talent, and as a result, more inconsistency that comes with that.

If the team is playing well, so will Xerri. It's all about racking up that XP.

I reckon we are a chance but we shouldn't treat GC lightly. Whenever they've been undermanned, they can still put on a fight.

Plastic culture or not, don't become complacent North.

Danger game this one. Can see us going in as favourites, which always puts me on edge. Looking at the recent performances of both teams you'd really hope for a win, but this mob has become a bit of a bogey side for us. Thank * it's in Hobart, reckon that's a 3 goal swing our way right there compared to if it was at Docklands
