He is being a bit sneaky with the data though. 72% of the 20k non Australian travellers were from NZ. His individual 'weekly' visitor numbers as reported above seem overstated. He also refers to 'last month' when the most data recent data released was June 16 and the reference month is April.

NSW health opened up Pfizer vaccines to family and close friends 6 weeks ago after they had given all their staff the opportunity. I got mine.

I am in my 30s, just went on to the Fed Vaccine Eligibility checker, put in that I work in front line health, and I would be eligible to get one in 2 days.

Frontline health care worker sub-groups for prioritisation include

• frontline staff in facilities or services such as hospital emergency departments, COVID-19 and respiratory wards, intensive care units and high-dependency units
• laboratory staff handling potentially infectious material
• ambulance and paramedic service
• Commonwealth Vaccination Clinics (formerly GP respiratory Clinics), and
• COVID-19 testing facilities.

All other healthcare, aged care and disability care workers are included in Phase 1b, including medical and tertiary students with placements in these healthcare settings.

You will need to provide proof of occupation to demonstrate your eligibility before you receive the vaccination. This can be an ID card or a letter from your employer.
These criteria may vary between states and territories. If in doubt, please contact your employer.

People with families here, I believe are travelling here for holidays and returning to their usual place of residence.
It would be good to drill down, to how many multiple visits in and out?

We have a friend who is fifo, from another country, transits here for a few hours, then goes through to green zone on to another flight to another country.

People just aren’t keyed in to politics. On the surface he’s just inoffensive and a bit jolly. And that’s all that a hell of a lot of people see. They don’t go any deeper.

Combine it with a nonstop PR campaign by their partners in the media, and it’s really not that hard for them to maintain. Anything short of him kicking a baby on camera and it’s easy enough to work with.

Is mandating hotel quarantine for an interstate traveller from Bendigo (not a hotspot) who is highly unlikely to have COVID, placing them in the same facility as returned travellers who are likely to have COVID, that person contracting the Virus, and the flying the next day to the NT because they quite rightly didn't consider Bendigo a hotspot, a federal responsibility?

This is one of the most ill considered, idiotic f"ck ups to date. It has nothing to do with the Feds. This is direct failure of state policy that goes against any national recommendations let alone common sense.

It has now seeded clusters in NT, QLD and SA.

QLD are now seeking to reduce their Int HQ intake to free up beds for Queenslanders returning from hotspots (without admission of guilt of course). Why don't they just buy one of these magical off the shelf quarantine centres that are seemingly so easy to procure?

State quarantine is not a federal responsibility, Bendigo wasn't even a hotspot, although the premiers have always made this bit up as they go.

That’s it. I read an article recently interviewing people who voted for him & they genuinely believe he’s the daggy dad, go sharkies guy his marketing team came up with.
You have to dig a little deeper to see the conniving psycho underneath.
God imagine if a labor government had done even a small amount of the dodgy & incompetent things he’s done. They’d have been utterly buried by the Murdoch machine.
Instead we get puff pieces & nothing to see here.

I’ve said it before. In my early teens, my family started worshipping at a church that was a bit happy clappy. Morrison is totally one of the bullschitting suburban dad church elders that would get up to speak. Even as a 12 year old I saw through them and knew they were full of schitte.

And now one of them has bullschitted their way into the Lodge.
