The thing is he doesn’t really use his big body his not a bad player considering what you traded for him but more like a two metre forward flanker that can pinch hit in the ruck which isn’t a bad thing but if you think you’re getting a pack crashing kp forward then you would be disappointed
Why is he called Two-metre Peter and not Two-metre Flanker?

To be fair, our previous Key Forward wasn't really a big user of his body either.
Won't be a star, but fills a need. Should play his role ok.

Very unlikely
Disagree.
Best 3 seasons averaged 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 goals per game.
If he plays 22 games That equates to 26,30,35 goals.
These seasons were as a 19,20,22 year old.

He will be 24-25.

can’t see why it’s very unlikely.

He couldn't get a game for a bottom 5 side this year is why. And those years were when there was a primary target of very high quality - which Essendon do not have - and a strong midfield - which Essendon do not have.

I don't think he is ever going to be that dominant key forward, his best years coincide when Lynch was taking that no.1 defender. He is an amazing kick for goal, but he just doesn't have the physicality that great key forwards have today. You need to hit him on a lead, he is never the type to fly for big contested grabs.

I watched a fair bit of the Suns around the time he went out of the side and thought it wasn’t warranted. Expectations were too high for a bloke that was getting no good ball movement.

Been more than serviceable this year.

Just seemed like such a straightforward play to go for Wright from our perspective, really not sure why we didnt. The only explanations would be our salary cap and us severely overrating our KPF stock.

Mostly the former.
