Mutineer, who are the key forwards in this draft worth remembering, especially 2nd round onwards?
Gawler lad Cody Gilchrist 198cm probably as good as any of the locals might be worth a look depending on how he goes at the Nationals?

Horne there showed the difference between what a good footballer looks like versus most of the numpties we’ve got running around.
Hawthorn gone into tank mode.
North already woeful
Collingwood wanted to keep their coach.

We need to put guys in for surgery

How about Seedsman and our 22 1st round pick for GCS pick 5?

Gives them an in-form experienced player and they very likely get a top 5 pick again next year.

Hell, throw in Himmelberg as steak knives.

Hawks are bad, but they aren't tanking. With Mitchell at the helm next year though...

I give the Hawks some benefit of the doubt given their surprising win against GWS a few weeks ago, but maybe things changed with the Clarko developments.

This round doesn't really tell much given the bottom 5 teams play against teams 6 spots higher (tho Bumbers were 3 spots higher than us).

Our game vs hawthorn could be a nil Ann draw. We will be trying to rush points for then

Probably the best deal I’ve seen yet

That said, if Seedsman wins our B&F it’d be a horrific PR move

6 goals today bicks. I have not seen him play what are his strengths
Reliably informed from someone that’s watched him closely that he’s very good at things tall forwards shouldn’t be able to do, but needs work on things tall forwards should be able to do.

Liam McBean

For player comparison not really sure - haven’t seen him myself. 19 goals in 9 U18 games and apparently playing good footy in the ruck for Trinity College.

For mine the best key forward in U18 is Felix Packer. Huge brute of a kid. 20 goals in 6 games for Sturt and 23 from 6 for school. But couldn’t make the state squad so what would I know ha ha.

Athleticism and overhead marking, goal kicking can be a bit inconsistent...think he's the best KPF of the local lads by a fair margin in a draft a bit bereft of KPF's. Should hold down one of the key forward posts for SA at the Nationals I'd think.

Seedsman could well win our B&F and take him out of the side, and our 2022 first will have a pretty good chance of being at least as good as the pick we get in this year

Seedsman & 2022 pick 4-7 for 2021 pick 5 looks a pretty bad deal to me

Especially if neither of two first rounders this year are Jason Horne.

How confident are you in what our 2022 first might look like?

Confident? Not sure what you mean there. I'm assuming it will be a top 5 pick.
But I'd rather pick up a 2nd top line mid this draft and get a year of development into them than wait another year and maybe miss out.
Will I be disappointed if we finish bottom next season? Of course. But that's the risk. I'm willing to take those odds.

Good Lord, I’m not. Giving up Seedsman for the likely benefit of getting the same or worse pick 12 months early?

That’s what I first wrote, but changed it to not seem too hysterical
If north get a bounce, hawthorn take to their new coach and collingwood with another daicos find something, we had want to be careful that it won't be pick 1 next year..certainly not out of the realms of possibility
