McGregor use to have speed like O'Malley has now (different weight div obviously). Whilst he still is quick it's nowhere near what it was. Without that speed then he's nowhere near as dangerous imo.

I have my doubts Conor will fight again. That ankle looked ****ed and reminded me a bit of the injury to Geelong footballer about two decades ago. Never played again. Wish I could remember his name.
Do not think you * around with your ankle. It meant to hold so much of your body weight that it massive trouble to do any sport again if it can snap off.
Conor said Dustin was going out of cage on a stretcher. Ended up being him. Pity, was enjoying the fight and looking forward to second round but when he fell over with ankle giving way anti-climax as they really were starting to hate on each other and fight would have been awesome to watch, go further.
I cannot see someone doing elite dangerous sport again with direction his ankle went. Think it over for him not sure he will get it really is over for him for some time.

He’s gone for at least 12 months between healing and rehab, Probably more like 18 months. When he comes back he’s probably 2-3 fights off a title fight.

You’d probably question what the point of coming back would be especially when we know he absolutely doesn’t need to do it anymore

Half the issue with Conor are his fans. A lot legit thinking Conor won the first round.

No interest in a 4th from most people I watched the fight with. McGregor vs Nate should be the only real option for him but he could be out for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the scorecard has 10-8 to Dustin. McGregor was getting a beatdown

Yes, Think it was Jason Snell. Normally I would look up something up like that on youtube but I never want to see the sight of it again.
and yes, that time scale is type of thing I am expecting for Conor given my memory of Snell. I think doctors told Snell to not try playing again as you may not ever walk again if you injure it again. It is with that thought in mind I think Conor is done because when he truly finds out that state of his ankle and foot connections he may find the same type of scenario painted to him by specialists in that area. Not worth the risk for rest of your life, even with an ego as big as Conor has. You just better thinking of the many decades left in your life being able to walk upright.

Follow up on Jason Snell injury.
Reading description on wiki without seeing vision again , is a reason I not going to watch it ever again...it too gruesome to want to see again.
" His injury, sustained against Melbourne at the MCG, was so serious that the bone pierced the skin, he got up and screamed for the trainer. Snell had to have his left ankle fused and announced his retirement in 2002 after being told he would never be able to run again "

The good news for Conor was at least bone did not pierce the skin.

If and when he comes back and gets a decent win and Dustin's the champ and then tapper gets a shot...ol fat guts Dana would be rubbing his hands together, it would be a marketers dream.

But that's a decent injury can't see him getting back to his tapping best

He bags boxers because they only have one fighting art. Yet bags his opponents for using more than one method of fight v him

He did well in sucking his opponents ego into playing into his terms early on. That myth got smashed v Diaz in fight one. Then Khabib really messed with and now Poirier just confirmed it all

McNuggets is a very good fighter but his hype was way over his skill level. Great fighter at featherweight who ****ed with his opponents heads. Would never have been a lightweight champ except he jumped in when the division was its weakest (Alvarez).
