Rowelly stepping up when needed.
Couple of critical in close tackles to wrap the ball up at the end of the 3rd and that crucial crucial goal in the 4th

Agreed but Brodie and Fiorini must play for the rest of the year. The other 2 still have years of early development left.

Rowell just looked to have no acceleration.
Once or twice in that final quarter he could have gained clean possession and fired out a quick handball with a 3-4m burst onto a ground ball.
Looked so heavy legged.
Rowell is still coming back from a serious injury no where near his peak. If he gets through the entire year without another injury while playing that is a win.
The concern for me is he still doesn't have confidence in his body
Hopefully playing him out to the end of the season will get him back in the traces and a big pre-season will have him back to full flight

Think they may ice Anderson for the rest of the season. Be very conservative with him. There's been no announcement on his return date after hand surgery.
Not sure if Brodie comes back in with Fiorini still in there.

Broke his hand about 3 weeks ago. Required surgery.

Anderson had surgery on his hand following the North game, if that's who you mean? Still listed as TBC.
Thought we were clearly better in the first half, but they got right on top in the midfield and I thought they were clearly better in the second half. We got smashed in the clearances, only Touk holding up.
The midfield really missed Greenwood. Only their 4th quarter goals saved the days of Swallow and Rowell, and Fiorini looks like a replacement level mid (ok, but no more than that).
But we kicked for goal better and good goal kicking is good football, so we earned that one.
PS. Bowes is becoming the clanger king, and at this point in his career should be better.

Fiorini does pretty well for a player who gets 15-20% less game time than every other mid

If what very bad conditions both sides had the same game plan. We were very hungry and it looked like GWS dominated the clearances in the second half (Hopper & Kelly)

Gws shot them selves in the foot in the 3rd by missing those shots but they also got a few.

Well if Taylor Harris can get one after a handful of games, Swallow deserves a solid gold statue and the team best and fairest award should be renamed after him. Swallow stayed loyal when everyone else bailed, that man deserves nothing but the upmost respect to everyone involved with this club

Rowell with nine tackles. Still finding a way to contribute. Not to mention kicking that goal.
And that goal was pivotal in terms of winning the game. Like the commentators said, if you can't find ways to play well then try to find ways to win the game.
