Hmm a wins a win but Hawthorn are very average

Good: Berg good.

Fog playing a four quarter game.

Laird very good. Nice to hit the scoreboard too.

McHenry with some nice moments.

Jones continues to grow in defence. McPherson looked good again.

Tex kicked four.

Scho good in the middle.

ROB important around the ground.

Frampton less execrable than usual.

Bad: Sloane continues to not offer enough.

Berry is either buggered and needs a rest, or we need to stop hiding him in the forward pocket. Two three possession games in the last three weeks isn't great.

Sholl was pretty bad early.

This is a big call, but I honestly feel like he has a legitimate case to win the entire award

Pleasing that we kicked the ball better to the advantage of our forwards rather than bombing the ball.

No coincidence all our key forwards scored goals...

I think the Hawks would have gotten the W with the umps help if they didn't just continually bomb nearly everything into their F50.

Good. Play Fog, acquire goals, it isn't rocket science.
Shoey doing pretty special things out there more and more often.

Bad. Pretty obvious.

Berry has had some of the best 3 disposal games I've seen. Does all we require of him.

Yup, a good, and likely a needed, win for the club.

Good:

If Fogarty has those kind of games more often, I'll need to revise my "not making it" call. There was a genuine hunger and intensity to his game, he got involved, and he made things happen.
Schoenberg kept on building with another 24 disposal game.
Hamill, Jones and McPherson were all rock solid.
Laird had a monster day
Tex played well for 4
Himmelberg was good all day.
I liked McHenrys game. Set a fair few scores up, on top of the usual McHenry stuff.
Doedee and Frampton had good control of the air in defense.
Seeds, Keays, ROB, and Lynch all had solid days out.

Bad/Ugly.

Nah, not today. As said, it was likely a needed win for this rebuild.

Loved the games from Schoenberg, Jones, McHenry and Moose. Fog good too.

Only concern is Berry and Sholl. Give them a game in the magoos to get some swag back.

I still find umpiring baffling. Even the players are unsure, one free kick tonight 5 players thought it was there's.

I hate to say it but our forward line looked so much better without Rowe. He's just too slow right now to be impactful at AFL level, hopefully he can work on his speed.

Good: Laird, Fog, Tex, Doedee, our backline. Jones continuing to show he could be a competent footballer.

Bad: Hawthorn’s F50 entries (sneaky tank?), the phrase “the four game veteran”, how lucky we are to merely train at the MCG one single time.

Laird huge, good to see some of the young guys play well in Jones, Schoenberg, Ned and McPherson.
Fog's best game for the year, great to see him put in the 2nd efforts.
Good - can stop the Horne talk, Hawks seem to have one hand on the spoon.

Absolutely Fog’s best game. IMO he had a better game than Tex. Just constantly worked himself into the contest, was brilliant to see.

I hate to say it but our forward line looked so much better without Rowe. He's just too slow right now to be impactful at AFL level, hopefully he can work on his speed.

I don’t rate Rowe and don’t think he’ll make it, but there was a big difference this week in how we delivered to our forwards. Who’d of thought kicking to their advantage would work? Also have to take into account the opposition. Hawks are rubbish.
